Great video again. The Flyaway Shot was superb. Where they were snacking on the trail and it pulls back until they are specks. What a view. That was a stunning location to shoot in. I mean throughout the whole video. The village was quaint, yet it takes a strong community to settle and survive like that. Speaking of the original settlers up to and including the current residence. I now want to do some research on the Faroe Islands and how they were settled. Thanks bunches.
Drake!!! If there are awards given for amateur video, you just won it with that piece. It was SPECTACULAR. I was awe struck just seeing it on my 13" MacBook Air monitor. I'll have to watch it on my 4K 80" HDTV next. Fantastic !! My favorite part is when you pan out using the drone when you and Mo and friends are having a snack on the side of this luscious green steep hillside. Amazing. Just amazing.
Very beautiful & epic! Great shots of the rock formations & surroundings. I know the experience for you & Mo was magnificent and words can't possible describe what you guys felt, especially crossing in that cable cab! I look forward to the episode Drake!
Absolutely fantastic Drake. Great action on the camera drone. I saw you sitting there on the hillside controlling the drone action and filming. And the music was a standout. Thanks so much. You have indeed seen much of the world, appreciate it and it's obvious you love every minute of it. Wish I could do the same. Although I've traveled much of the world, I'm too old now to be able to do what you do, but through you I can witness it. Thanks so much!
O....M....GOSH!What a beautiful video! You really and truly took me away to a better place Drake!A special place in my heart and in my soul!Thank you freind. What a wonderful editing job!The music and just all of it.This is yt GOLD!Thats all I can say.I am truly having a moment here. That really got my ol travel bone itchin!thank you!Thank You!Thank YOU!
Wow Drake. Your cinematography and editing skills just continue to thrive !!! Great work with the drone. That zoom out at 5:20 was probably the easiest thing you did but it turned out epic, really made the location look massive.
AWESOME, the drone is working! Kristi and I miss Faroe and our time on Paragon. It is simply magical and fans have no idea what awesome episodes are coming. I can't wait!!! Drake and Mo thanks for all you do, your dedication for sharing, and inspiring our imaginations.
+Adam Hagan Team Paragon! :) Hi Adam and Kristi! We are actually pushing off from Faroe tomorrow and headed to Stornaway. :) We haven't had a weather window for weeks. Just strong winds from the south. But starting Thursday we'll start getting a few days of light winds mostly from the west. I wish so much that you guys were here! We are always looking forward to you guys returning to Paragon for another voyaging adventure. Looking forward to catching up with you guys after we get to Scotland in a few days. :)
so for these fantastic images already well worth the investment on the drone ... one of the best videos that already did ... awesome landscapes images I hope you had enjoyed just as I liked this episode . AWESOMEEE When you'll return to Portugal??? Congrats and enjoy live in história maximum Best regards
Your videos have always been something that went well beyond very interesting and informative sailing stuff (and that's a lot in itself). Your videos have displayed great photography, depth and warmth, and...and this one is just too much. I could go on, but maybe I'll just get to the point - Wow!
+John Donaldson Thanks John, Glad you enjoyed it. We also have a lot of drone only videos of the places that we have sailed to on our other RU-vid channel called "ParagonSkies" - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Hbb7xKV2fdI.html
+DrakeParagon Drake, how nice to hear from you! Since I discovered your videos about two weeks ago I have literally watched EVERY video you have posted. That must number in the hundreds. Now that I've watched them all I feel disconnected and craving more. I enjoy all of the videos, especially those while you are at sea. It is the actual sailing that I desire to watch. The interviews have been great too. The one you did with Mark Lucas on swagging wire rope was so interesting I sent it to my non-sailing friend. My preferences for videos are subjective but here is the list from most to least favorite. - At sea, the ocean, water splashing off the bow, setting sails, reefing, etc. Anything at sea regarding actual sailing. - Problems and solutions. Surprise failures and fixes. Most forms of boat related work. - The interviews. They've all been good for different reasons. - Fly over videos. I enjoyed the sheep gathering because it told a story. In general though, I fast forward through most videos that do not contain dialog. - Land based videos. Visiting towns and cities. I live on land and have traveled a lot so most of those are least interesting to me. Again I usually fast forward unless you are in a Chandlery. Those are my preferences. I'm sure you won't make any changes for me and I'm sure each persons list would be different. By the way I'm retired since 2008 but was a software engineer for 10 years of my working life. Where do I find the videos of your travel from Boston to Greenland? And where are you now? Thanks again and say hi to Monique. John
Drake you have exceeded in producing an epic trailer......when does the movie come out? Seriously I could not imagine the effort that went into making this clip. Absolutely amazing.

Fantastic, Drake. Especially I like the part were you sat down to rest, and then zoom out to let us see how huge these spots on the map really are. These people must live in fear that someone may fall down? Thanks for sharing.

If you're interested in adding aerial filming to your wonderful sailing videos on LifeisLikeSailing and want to know more about our equipment set up then just let me know. I bet your kids would love it. :)
WOW!! Just watched the trailer! You'll see my comment there and I've subscribed!! :) I would definitely love to learn more about what you are using for equipment if it's not too much trouble. What a great way to compliment the videos with the aerial shots and I would love to be able to have some of that in my cruising videos! And oh yes, my kids would be all over having a a cool piece of equipment like that on our trips and I'm guessing they would be much better pilots than me too. lol
Takk fyri! (Thank you!) So glad you enjoyed seeing the annual sheep gathering and auction in Tjørnuvik! Faroe really is one of our most favourite places in the world. We're looking forward to sailing back in the spring! - Drake
+bill98465 ha! Yes, but when they are auctioned off they sell for huge amounts of money because it's a fundraising event for the community in Tjørnuvík. They might be the most expensive sheep in Faroe. :)
Ó, bárcsak én is ott lehetnék!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
wow,im speechless ,just awesome photography.cool to see your using a drone.when growing up ,I had friends that were from the orknay islands, will you visit there?
+paul stratton We loved the Orkney Islands. We sailed there from the Faroe Islands and spent a week in the marina there. Beautiful town. Great local beer. We made some great great aerial videos there and posted them on our aerial channel ParagonSkies :) - Aerial Scotland - Paragon and Exodus Reunited in Orkney ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-HtuZEkKx0No.html and on of my favorites....Aerial Scotland - Anchored in Kirk Hope, Orkney (DJI Phantom 2, Fatshark FPV) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tW5AHm-ajJs.html and at about 30 seconds into this aerial video we had a small clip of the famous 'Rings of Brogar' in Orkney... +Naitsirkhelo That is very much the plan for next year and much of the reason we are staying in northern Scotland this winter. It is still in the planning phase, but we would like to head all the way to Svalbard then make our way down the coast of Norway. Or maybe the other way. Or even stay in Lofoten over the winter if we can work out the visas. Friends talked to us about their time in Norway and, since then, it has been at the top of our list. We can't wait to go!
+msnpassjan2004 This is actually quite a recent video...only filmed about two weeks ago. The sheep gathering and auction happens every year around the end of September and we were lucky to be here so late in the season. It was the one event in Faroe we didn't want to miss!
To you both, welcome to the U.K, you must sail into Conwy Harbour, if you can, you really will not regret it or leave in a hurry. A beautiful estuary, with the famous Conwy castle and walled town nestled into the Snowdonia mountain range. If you visit, please email me, simonsargent@hotmail.com. We will gladly show you the sights, put you up for a couple of nights if you fancy a break from the boat night and it would be our pleasure to treat you with to a nice meal out. Google Conwy, you would not regret a visit and it would be lovely to meet you both x
+Simon Sargent Hi Simon, Thanks for telling us about Conway Harbour. We just researched it on the internet and it looks beautiful. We'd love to circumnavigate England in a Summer season some year and if we do we will definitely drop by there to say hello! In the meantime our big goal is to get to Svalbard.
@@jalan-jalandijalan6362 Faroe has everything, including power stations that run on hydro, electric, and fossil fuels. Most produce is imported by ship from Denmark. Locally farmed lamb and seafood are very popular in Faroese cuisine.
