Stalactite Cave Nature Reserve in Israel, also called Sorek Cave or Avshalom Cave - was discovered in May 1968 - in the quarry of Mount Har Tuv (according to Wikipedia). In 1975 the cave was given the status of a reserve.
Sorek Cave is located in the Beit Shemesh region on the western slope of the Judean Mountains.
The territory of the reserve is 180 dunams, and the air temperature in the cave is always about 22 degrees Celsius.
The best time to visit the reserve is between November and May, when everything is in bloom and you can also take a walk around the reserve.
