STALKER Anomaly | A taste of Multiplayer with IN-GAME CHAT ! 

There literally will be multiplayer in Ray of Hope, it literally says "Q: Will there be offline co-op? A: Contrary to our previous statements, there will be no co-op in Ray of Hope." this means no Private servers or peer to peer (which sucks in its own right) but right bellow that it says "Q: What type of servers will there be in the game? A: There will be public servers only, separate ones for Russian and EU communities. Players will have the chance to try out both regular and RP servers." Ive seen someone on the Ray of Hope page one our after the video released mocking the devs for not having multiplayer

CO-OP stalker actually sounds like such a dream, just imagining setting up ambushes or attacking outposts and camps or looting some of the scarier areas of the series all with a buddy sounds so fun.

Dang that's cool. Sad that "true" multiplayer is not happening yet. I feel like stalker co-op would be awesome

Imagine if someone died, there is a chance that a cross spawns at the position for other players, telling the name of the player, cause of death and how long ago and it may contains a random item, the player carried... or a special trader, that sells every item, players sell to him, higher rep gives access to better gear... this passive multiplayer alone gives endless possibilities already and preserves the loneliness in the zone.

This reminds me of something like Synthetik, Where you could be playing a largely single player game but still be having conversations with people who are also doing their own play throws of the game

We can all imagine that everyone is in their own universe but some how the scientists in the zone figured out a way for all the stalkers to talk even if they aren’t part of their universe!

It kinda reminds me of death stranding’s multiplayer, where the game is about this lonely vibe, but you can see structures and signs left by other players

This is actually so awesome. Global chat is a big contributor to what makes mmo's feel like an mmo even if you are grinding by yourself, and to have it in stalker makes So much sense. And even if you are too shy to speak maybe, youll still feel like you are in a real world

I actually like this alot more then just regular multiplayer.

For now, RAD Multiplayer project is the closest thing to "Stalker co-op experience". RoH is 8 years old and we didn't see that much, while RAD is relatively new project and you CAN PLAY it. That's right, you can check it yourself if it's good or not (but only if servers are running, obviously).

The chat is the best part of the mod, not only your going to laugh at it. It's only pretty chaotic. Also eases up the tension and loneliness of the zone.

You should totally be able to invade other people's games as a pre-generated Stalker. Like a bandit, a mercenary, or Monolith, depending on where you are in the game

I wonder if since this mod allows you to share messages over the PDA, could it also trigger players to have the same weather at the same time? Have one person act as the "lead" weather, and when weathers like rain or whatever happens to them, change it for other players in the group.

you can use it with mod organizer, simply install with mod organizer, add the new executable as new executable, launcher the executable and then launch the game like you would usually, that work perfectly.

Stalker Multiplayer Extension is still in development, and unlike Ray of Hope it will actually allow for creation of your own dedicated servers.

im not super knowledgeable about the xray engine or really game modding in general but what im wondering is why is it so hard/taken so long to get any form of co-op or multiplayer in stalker when clear sky and COP had multiplayer team death match? couldn't multiplayer be built off of that

Not sure what the money give feature has purpose wise other than for charity/helping friends leave the hobo phase partially. Maybe a item trade/auction system can be added to give it more importance (since selling tool kits or repair/modifying kits, ammo, or such could help be a lucrative side economy to the normal trader system. Still a great mod however since Synthetik's single player global chat function was also great for casual chatting, memeing, or question/advice asking/answering. As for Ray of Hope dropping off, xrMPE and RAD multiplayer seem to be having MUCH better and consistant development process with very little feature creep and still keeping the plans to maintain PvE and server hosting availability (especially for the former as they have a public build already that is just a tailor made for stalker coop horde mode used to stress test network sync and server hosting). I hope they get more volunteers and support so we can finally have open world/coop stalker multiplayer.

It would be cool if stalker 2 had something like Dark Souls where you can see people like ghosts, but they don't interact with you or the world.

I tried this earlier, so I started to talk to them, and asked questions. I got roasted so hard on a few things, haven't laughed this hard in a long time. (Said earlier today that a surrendering stalker gave me a stash location, but he tried to attack me after offering a med-kit to him to let 'im live.) They also start their own conservations and it's just entertaining to watch, though can be distracting, still funny to see them go at it, also they really like to shit on Hip and of course each other if they're enemy factions.

The mod refuses to connect to anything.

I remember this mod way back when the original dev shared it with a few people. Was pretty comfy and it wasn't spammed with overused jokes. Got killed when it was posted on reddit and r/stalker cried and complained about people being mean so much it attracted people that just spammed it till it was killed. Hopefully tourists don't kill this again

TDM multiplayer for the main games is the chad MP experience :P Not really, i would rather have a co-op mode.

with the fallout new vegas mp mod out, i wish there was a dedicated team to bring multiplayer into STALKER.

I think with this things we can do the multiplayer without game engine improvements at all ithink only Just static nametags for npc's Like just controll game from script throught .txt files
