Anthony is an American Dream story. Listen to this guy, does not matter what industry your are in do what you love and have passion to help people and the success will follow.
I’ve been doing concrete 20+ years in the Midwest. Definitely different styles but I really appreciate the work you do. You’ve got a great bunch of guys. Nice quality work my man. Great videos as well, I’m really enjoying watching your team. I’m going to apply for a job when I get sick of this Chicago weather! Keep up the good work!
Marc gene you use both buddy brains and back, this is not my trade but they did a good job, yeah there’s miscommunication between them but they know how to work, you would have a successful company if you hire ppl like them, as a mexican I hired Caucasians laborers and most them were lazy unreliable, and demand cigarettes break, high pay and stubborn, so it’s better not speaking the same language in the end of the day, as an owner of company you don’t have time for bullshit.
Marc Gene you sound like you have a major history role in construction industry but all that turns to shit when your racial profiling,, everybody has something to teach over years of construction I learn that, I don’t down grade ppl respect the laborers there everything
Marc Gene very unprofessional bro. Sounds like you are downing concrete workers smh all your construction experience and knowledge don’t mean shit if you ain’t got no respect. You come to Hawai’i with that type of attitude you will prolly end up buried in the footings. Moral of the story every trade has its part no one is better than anyone, we come together in construction as one. 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
Hey there from Australia! I’m about to start designing my own home and came across your channel. I’m intrigued and amazed at how much you know and understand concrete. Thanks so much for putting these videos together, they are incredibly informative. I just wonder why you don’t make them longer? There’s so much information you include I often find myself going back over them to catch more. Or even employ more video people as they are fascinating videos. Cheers and thanks again.

Great job. I had a guy do my patio. Should have fired him as soon as he said " this will be the best concrete job you have seen." Now i just wish i could fix the crap job he did. 🤔🤪
Ha love it I always take my shoes off to finish concrete or I should say I to cut concrete I do commercial sk it's all flat floors and parking lots but got to respect the concrete
Wow you guys do it so different in the USA than the UK, we cut the expansion joints in later, use powered release which two tones the concrete and use the denser rubber mats for a more defined pattern
Just went to a job today at a nursing home. The ED calls and says I want your opinion. I go out. 30 by 60 slab. 3/8 bar 6 ft OC on sand. 4 inch at building and only 2 inch thick on far end for water run off. ( I figured the 2 inch from grade and form height ) All 3/8 was sitting on grade. Now I noticed this from pictures he shows me in office. I walk outside and it was already all done. He says. I think they did it wrong. Like I needed this on Sunday in 108 deg temp. So anyone watching west coast videos pay attention to them. There’s a correct way and wrong way. West cost right way. Others no so dam much.
hey brotha great work and great team, can’t help but notice you’re the only one in shorts and runners, looks like just a show for the cam when ur workin! nothin can appreciate more than a boss who’s beside their team but just wanted you to consider😂
ACI ! Stop using the frez! Get mag on stick! It’s probably fine with warm climate areas ! Steel trowels r for interior only unless you broom right away! It does look good ! The word your looking for is they r decorative boarders👍
DRS Walmart in the Star Wars section. U can get a mag hook that goes on your regular belt . That drive way looks good but would fail by state standards! Air entrained and entrapment! steel is a no no for exterior mud! edgers r the only steel aloud! Stick with wood and magnesium and they’d be excellent, nice work, wrong tools 👍 I have a 5,000 yard pour coming up at airport and have pour at 1 slump max 2’ thick can’t use water, sika film or steel or they tear it out
Great work as always. Curious as to why you don't ever seem to use polyurethane sheeting as a moisture barrier? I've been told by builders that if you don't do this, the ground will suck the moisture out of the concrete and cause it to crack?
I think that theory works in different areas with different weather and soil conditions. Considering the soil and weather in California, the concrete bleeds perfectly.
Question? How do I feel about rubbing in the liquid release into the ribbons, is that exeptble with in manufacturer's guidelines?? Always thought you weren't supposed to rub in the realest?????? Other than that GREAT JOB!!
Why not use mesh mats? Its crazy how loose it looks at a 5 slump. I use a 5 slump MDOT mix in Michigan. It comes out fairly stiff. I get 4800 psi at 28 days though. I only need 3500. You have a great finish.
Yes you need rebar. It holds the concrete together and keeps it from cracking or having low spots later on. No rebar and it'll crack all over and big pieces will just break off. It's a very good idea to put rebar in when dealing with concrete. Especially because 99.9% of the time its required by code to have it in there or in a certain way. Not sure if that's the exact answer you're looking for, just throwing some of my experience and knowledge out there to help. Have a good day!
Really nice work you and your crew do. I’m a mixer driver in San Jose ca. I see a lot of really good work. Yours is awesome I can tell right away question I’m about to redo my driveway and like this combination. What color are you using.
Hey wear coast custom concrete, my patio and driveway needs redone, what are the advantages and disadvantages of using patio pavers or outdoor tiles instead of concrete?? What's the cost comparatively
I've been a union ironworker for almost 30 yrs in LA and yes we have some of the most stringent building codes and absolutely insane inspection tolerances you could imagine, we've had to replace 60ft #11s first direction for being 2 inches short on lap length, that's in a footing 9 -10ft thick, pain in the ass, but I'll put our final product up against anywhere in the world, LA builds some seriously stout shit....cmon!
