Here's card #2 using the Stampin' Blends Vellum Technique. I just LOVE how this card turned out! I love the colours, the texture from the Painted 3D embossing folder and the Gilded Leafing. Imagine using greens and reds or shades of blues to make Christmas cards using this technique! Or pinks and reds with heart stamps for Valentine's, anniversary or wedding cards! The possibilities are endless.

Again so beautiful Tina! You make it look so easy! I tried it and had a hot mess! First time the ink disappeared.......too much alcohol......and the second time it was just not pretty!! I think I’ll just leave the “pretty” to the master!!!

Tina, you definitely need more of my favorite color in there, purple. Have you ever tried to blow the inks with a straw ? beautiful effect. would make a great card for you.

Unfortunately no. The regular markers are water based; the blends are alcohol based. Must use alcohol markers when using alcohol.

I tried your technique and was successful. I will try this new technique with the gold flakes. I don't have any of that sticky embossing powder but I wonder if the flakes will just stick with the VersaMark, have you tried that?

You have to use alcohol markers for this technique, the stamp and write markers won't work because they are water based.

I have a question for you. Here in the US they don't sell 99% alcohol. I tried the 30% and it didn't work. The highest percentage I can find is 70% will that work?

Walgreens sells the 91% for .99 cents and you can use that as well, it's buy 1, get one for half price!

Jennifer - the 70% alcohol won't work near as well as the 91 or 99%. Hope you are able to find some at your Walgreens!

Gorgeous card. I will definitly try it also. But... WARNING!!!!! Be careful with the Isopropyl Alcohol 99%. Warnings say don't use it with heatmaterial and use it in well ventilated rooms. IPA 99 % is extremely flammable and in no time, when things go wrong, you can set your house on fire! But again, beautiful card!
