Maymay, I use to stamp long time ago but gave up because I just wasn't happy with the results. I recently started getting back into it, giving it another try and then came across your video and want to say thank you!! Your video inspires me and I have more excitement and confidence to dive back in! ❤
Stamping stress? OH YES! Stamping stresses me out to where I hardly even want to do it anymore. Your tips will help me. And my favorite tip is your reminder that "we don't do perfect". That should help me "struggle and stress" less.
I am new to stamping and card making….so far all I’ve been doing is watching videos and buying……received Misti last week and ordered Cricut Joy today, joined the Scripture Stamp Club, and purchased other stamp sets. I have yet to make my first card. This video helped me understand the different inks. I also appreciate all the hints on proper inking and stamping. It’s clear to me that I need to purchase the class you referenced. I’ve spent my craft allowance this month (my dogs think they need to eat everyday and refused to contribute from their food allowance) but the class will be my first October purchase.
Thank you! Great video. Maymay, I work at a church and I would love stamps with scripture for making bookmarks for gifts. I've seen you make awesome bookmarks with paper sets, but I would love to see stamping videos for bookmarks. They are really awesome tucked inside a card.
Maymay’s stamp right up class taught me so much, every time I’ve watched it! Anyone struggling with stamping do yourself a favor & purchase the class! Best craft money if spent in a while! Thank you Maymay!!!
Thank you for this video. I'm sitting here playing with free stamps from a magazine, stamps that I love, but they have never been close enough to acceptable for me. But after a month waiting for Australia post, and over two weeks for the last 200 kilometres or so, I have finally received my first versafine stamp pads. I noticed the difference as I was applying the ink! They were so clear that I had no trouble cutting them with my brother scan n cut. And with the couple of hiccups, I was able to cover the centres with pink poinsettias that I cut with the brother this morning. I have stamps that I have been bitterly disappointed with, I am now ready to go for it! Expensive stamps at that. Here's to some Christmas fun!
Thanks for the tip for better stamping on vellum or acetate. I never thought of both taping down the vellum and using a rubber-feet stamp positioner. Always great to learn new stamping techniques.
Thank You MayMay I needed this class on stamping. I have been struggling with my stamping and this helps a lot. I bought the Misti from you which helped a lot but sometimes i just want to use my blocks. Thank you for these tips!! Also , I bought your class on inks SO informative i go back and reference it often to make sure I am using the right ink for my projects. Thank you for teaching us!!!!
Thank you - fabulous video - learned so much. Next signing up for your stamping course and will check out your other courses. Thank you for your awesome teaching style.
Thank you so much! I am a crafter of many hobbies. I love paper! I have attempted to add card making into my hobbies. I have been struggling to learn just what I'm doing wrong. This hit the nail flush for me! Thanks for sharing such valuable information!
Omg ty for this video..I went to stamp something and got ink everywhere….i worked hard on this gift card holders and went to stamp on it and ruined it..i am going to practice today.. then make a card holder..ty again your a life saver..😁❤️
This has been wonderful! Thank you for all of your hints and tricks! I'm not a great stamper, but this is all a learning curve and it never hurts to get new ideas on how to do something better! Always room for improvement! Thanks!
Thank you so much MayMay! I’ve recently gotten back into card making, but don’t have any stamp pads yet in my stash. This has helped me get my confidence up! Can’t wait to go to the craft store now!
Thank you for the Great tips. I was looking for a new trimmer. I will try to order one after pay day. After my husband Bob went to be with Jesus. I just quit 😪 making cards. Well I am doing better now. I have just been watching people making cards. Well I am excited again finally and I am going to start. But I have a great ideal I think. I just starting doing adult coloring. I am going to try some of the card making tips on my pages but I am going to try some of my coloring tips on my cards. I will let you know how it works. I hope I can still get the paper trimmer I saw you teaching us how to you. May the Lord richly bless you and your loved ones in Christ Jesus. Also everyone who watches your channel
Thank you so much for this video. I am a poor stamper, have to redo many times. And also thanks for the information about the class in your shop, I didn't know you offered those. This video gave me information that I am going to use.
For anyone thinking about the classes on May May's website I can say that I took the "card making 101" class and it was soooo helpful. I highly recommend it for beginners like me. ❤
My biggest problem is my images looked feathered (which I think you just called a halo effect). I thought it might be my cardstock but, if I understood you correctly, it may be that I'm pressing too hard. Hope being more gentle will help. Thanks for the tips Miss Maymay 🥰
Great tips! Being pretty new to stamping, I’m going to have to check out your beginner’s course. Thanks for sharing. I really appreciate the time and effort you put into your videos.
Thank you for these stamping tips, especially vellum. I’m afraid to stamp words on vellum, because once it dries all my words are a blurry mess. I’ve thrown away beautiful vellum because my words run together. Do you teach how to stamp sentiments on vellum? My stamps were photopolymer. I took notes from this video. I’ve learned so much from you over the past 3-4 yrs. Great info!!! You and your family our in my prayers 🙏🏽❤️
Thank you! This tutorial was so helpful. I have MISTI, Tim Holtz, Fiskars, and WAMK stamping platforms and still struggle to get beautiful stamped images. So much so, I have just about given up on stamping. Will try these techniques to see if I can improve my stamping skills.
/hi, here i the current video we have for cleaning stamps, hopefully this will help, thanks : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-QyxscRX06zQ.html
I am a newbie to card making and stamping. This was so good and informative. Regarding the stamp pads, can you purchase refill ink or do you have to buy a new pad?
Hi Gi...Most brands have refills you can buy. Those are great to get because not only can you use them to refill your stamp pad, but you can use the ink for loads of other things, like colouring images with a paint brush and stuff. I've gotten in the habit the last year or so of buying the refill whenever I buy the pad so I don't get caught without enough ink on a pad! It makes the initial purchase a lot more, but it's worth it. 😊
Hello, almost all ink brands have refills for their brand of ink pads. However if you are a heavy or rough stamper the pad itself may be damaged and in that case I would buy a new ink pad, thanks Tamatha
Thank you for all the tips! I struggle with big stamps and to get all the image on the paper. I use stamping tool but I can’t get it right. Do you have som tips for me?
HI, when using a stamping tool, you can re-ink and stamp that images several time to get the entire impression, also you may need to use a lil bit more pressure( but not too hard) to get the ink to transfer to the paper, I hope this helps, thanks
