Yeah no this could have been tuned down half a step or at least have him singing it down half a step especially with those high notes that shouldn't have been attempted you kiding me
I didn't know this song even existed until I heard it in Goon 2: Last of the Enforcers montage where Ross "the Boss" Rhea is teaching Doug how to fight left handed, but agreed it is one of those songs that just motivates the shit out of you, like "I WIll Survive" by Cheap Trick off of the Gladiator soundtrack
Stan Bush was born in '53 and Vince DiCola was born in '60. The first season of the cartoon aired in '84, making Bush 31 and DiCola 24. Hardly kids. And what does any of this have to do with the '80s ruling? Edit: For what its worth, the original comment was edited . I can't remember what it said, but something about kids, and thus my comment.
This song was a huge part of my childhood. I loved the transformers movie i would rent it from blockbuster all the time lol. This song and dare alone must have been what sparked my interest in 80s music
Ever since I first saw Transformers the movie in 1986 when i was 11 yrs old, I've made it a point to watch it again 1 Saturday of every month which I've stayed faithful to. Today is that Saturday once again as I just finished it 5 mins ago and immediately came here to watch Stan play these epic songs live. Blows me away every single time. Long live Transformers G1!!
wtf since U were 11? the damn movie was hard to find on VHS n took forever to release on dvd n even longer on bluray...unless u had a bootleg find it hard to believe.
He may have got older but he is still the same brilliant stan bush to me and whenever i hear him sing this song (the touch)it makes my day right so thank you stan
"Prime!!!" "One shall stand, one shall fall" "Why throw away your life so recklessly?" "That's a question you should ask yourself Megatron" "NOOO!!! I'LL CRUSH YOU WITH MY BARE HANDS!!!!"
This concert was after the first full day of the convention. It took place outside in freezing cold weather--I seem to recall it actually snowed for a while and there was some concern about whether they'd actually be able to hold the concert because the musicians were concerned about their instruments and their fingers. DiCola and Bush had each performed separately for a while before finally getting up on stage together. To summarize, it was late, it was cold, and everyone had had a long day. You're looking at the people who didn't let any of that shit stop them from coming out to enjoy the music. So if you're here to shit on the crowd for not dancing enough or whatever, maybe you should reconsider. (Source: I was part of that crowd. I'm a white dude and I was wearing a hoodie, so I haven't been able to pick myself out, but I'm in there somewhere.)
It IS inside, lol. This dude commenting above is either full of shit or "mixed up." You can see the walls, elevators, jallways, ceilings etc. Stan himself even mentions the "room" at the start LOL!!! 😆
LOL. Nice try bro. This was VERY much *inside* lol. You're either intentionally full of shit or "mixed up." You can see the walls, elevators, hallways, ceilings etc. Stan himself even mentions the "room" at the start LOL!!! 😆
@@christophergoree6357 I didn't stand out there in the snow so some rando could call me a liar to try to win Internet Dickweed Points in lieu of getting yourself a damn personality. (Actually, I stood there because I wanted to enjoy the concert, but you know what I mean.) The TFWiki has the entire event schedule for Botcon 2016 documented, including locations, so you can see that this concert was at Fourth Street Live! in Louisville. You can plug that directly into Google to see what that is, and LO AND BEHOLD, it's one of those downtown Pedestrian-Friendly Areas with a big outdoor stage. The Hard Rock Cafe whose sign is clearly visible in the video appears to have closed in the past seven years, but if you find an older photo you can see their distinctive giant guitar sign sitting very clearly outside (for me it's in the very first Google Image result). Also, you know, you can very obviously see in the video every time it shows the audience that everyone is bundled up for the cold. It was an outdoor concert. Believe it or not, walls exist outside. Elevators exist outside. "Hallways and ceilings," or rather, covered walkways, exist outside. Maybe if *you'd* ever been outside you'd know that.
My favorite thing about Stan bush is that when all the nerds were begging for the touch to be in guitar hero Stan said fuck it... Give the kids what the want.. Boom free dlc. Well played Stan
"The touch" was the track played while Optimus Prime was fighting on "Transformers the Movie 1986" and on Transformers: Generation One 2010 - episode 30, The Return of Optimus Prime - Part 2
Dedicate this to my best bud who's in cardiff uni now, we use to play...''the touch'', while smoking a naughty spliff, we both wish we were here 4 this...#StanULegend
Man if I were there I would be Jumping and Singing Loudly... Love these 2 Songs since 1987 when I heard them in a Trip to the United States ... Greetings from Peru amigos
I had Vince DiCola on my college radio show, he was such a good dude to talk with. We talked for about 20 minutes and it's awesome to see him and Stan on stage kicking ass!
Rented the movie over and over and it would have been much more financially responsible of my parents to have just bought the Transformers The Movie. This move motivated me and was so much fun...why cant we have fun anymore?
Right there with you. This song, for us 80s kids, it means so much. On my darkest days, this song will pick me up, dust me off and make me face the world with my head held high. I think all of us who grew up with it feel the same!
I love transformers g1 I grew up watching the episodes and I was 6 years old when I got my first transformer Mp01 20th anniversary optimus prime and I still have it and I'm 17 #g1forever
I still remember these 2 songs from the early 90s while I'm sitting on the floor in my late grandma's country house with my brother watching transformers on the vhs, the only movie she ever recorded for us. I would have been about 6 - 10. Now I'm 36
I was going to say all the ladies splooshed there that day...but I think I just splooshed in my chair at home at 1am...well played Stan Bush...well played...
I wasn't seeing the excitement that I would have to see Stan and Vince Live playing my two favorite songs of the movie that I grew up loving. Even seeing it on RU-vid I was like F yea!
After so many years, & the 80's still Rock my World, I have so many 80's albums & I am living a life that's always been hard but I wouldn't change a👍🏽thing Cheers Til All Are One✌🏽.
I highly doubt this was the kind of audience he was expecting to be performing for when he started out, but its great to see he embraced them completely.
