One has to remember that the French loved jazz from its inception. Its black origins, its nuances, subtlety, its perfection, beauty, & innovation.. They took to it like ducks to water. Loved The Americans who played it & came to France during the postwar years. & the musicians & the dives which they haunted & loved in Paris & France & Europe.. The French musicians too started to experiment with jazz, loved it..Michel Legrand so many others, composers, artists.. esp when further Bossanova hit the planet, took it by storm.. and Stan Getz was at the heart of both Jazz & Bossanova Going global.. He’s laughing at how ridiculous it all is. They’re probably getting paid a good chunk of money but he knows it’s just background music for the models. She’s laughing at the absurdity, but his sound, his tenor saxophone sound for all time, comes through as always.
Stan Getz est plus concentré sur les filles que sur la musique mais comme il joue des morceaux qu'il a joué des centaines de fois, il s'en sort sans effort. 😆
I can't stop laughing... the pretentiousness of the fashion world taking itself seriously. Honestly, who would wear this sh*t? Stan had a great time I'm sure.
This is the most ridiculous set ever! Those models are jumping on top of boxes, barely able to take steps; the guy and his entourage look like drugged Roman consul and the dazed attire observing at latest conquest from an exotic land. And the jazz band, obviously exhausted, plays South-American bossa nova while asking themselves are those fashin houses just mad, stupidly rich, or both?
