@@jamestop-g1904 I didn't say much on ur comment, but now you've pissed me off! I do have a sense of humour, but not when it becomes a bit of lame joke about Stan! Sorry, that just pisses me off, his song is much more meaningful than that! So just.. piss off! 🤦🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️😒
I listened to this song while travelling in Australia. And now 10 years later am still listening it in The Netherlands. Love it! Stan Walker and Guy Sebastian the best.
For some reason when I heard this I was rlly young and I thought it literally meant in the dead center of the ocean on the floor was a little black box that somehow had all the answers to the universe.
@@clintonyates437 Hey Clint, I meant NZ. I used to live in the north of Brazil, so I thought I could say "down here" when referring to NZ. Note that English is not my native language, so I didn't mean to offend or something. Cheers.
I was seven years old when this song came out - now almost 17 - and I still remember it so clearly! I always heard it on the radio but never realised the artist was Australian/New Zealander. Pretty cool to learn this, being an Aussie/Maori girl myself :)
Stan Walker is the best singer ever. Love all his songs and I am still listening to his music 2023. Well done Stan Walker. Would love to met him in real life he's so handsome 😍
I am American born but have Maori descent in me and I proud of being half Maori along with my Native North American and Caucasian heritages too Ka mate !
I remember being a massive Stan Walker and Guy Sebastian fan as a kid, lmao. My genre has transitioned more to heavy metal and dark rap, but I always got a soft spot for this
@@risherix6348 Nobody is disputing that his heart is Maori. However, his nationality is Australian because he was born in Australia which makes him a Maori Australian. Pretty simple and straight forward when a little thought is applied. Correct?
Lol that's no fair! Me too! Just a valuable friend though 😁❤️ the man is happily married, lol, beautiful wife he got that used to be with him through every situation, he went through. Bless them together, and may god always protect him and his whanau and for his fans aswell! 🤗❤️🙏🏻
A perfect representation of what NZ feels like following the events at Christchurch. Hopefully, we can pull through this, but I know that NZ will never be the same. But maybe we can become a beacon of acceptance/tolerance in this world.
@Stan Walker that's the first I heard, and although it wasn't ur chosen song, you rock it!! 😉😎 You sing it in away that's so you in a way! I have read your book 'Impossible' and that set me off to find your other songs! I know im 10years late (oh my god, so much to catch up on you) but you're a new favourite singer! And I just appreciate the music that you've set out there! You're amazing having to go through all that, and be a rocking good singer! Aroha to you! 🤗❤️
I am practically a New Zealand person, but moved to Australia. This year: 2017, and I love this song because it gives me memories about the past in nz, about my friends, my family I live with still, and everyone else I used to love in nz.
I Think your awesome and after reading your story i find you to be inspirational, ill be definitely shareing your book around to people i know that needs that extra boost that they can get through there obstacles just like you ❤
You are amazinnng! I first heard about you from Neece and since then I have fallin in love with your story, where you came from, where you've been, and where you're going to go Mr. Stan Walker! Thank you for everything you do, and sharing your talents with us! Keep up the great work and I look forward to hearing a lot from you!
What makes it a New Zealand song? The fact that it was recorded by an Australian artist here in an Australian recording studio by an Australian producer and released through an Australian label?
I love this song very much... There are many memories in this song, when i was as announcer in Aceh-indonesia, i always heard and played this song to my listeners...
I went saw you in was it 12 -13 years ago in Taupo, great then, great now in 2024, sending big hugs , keep well Stan, God is with you and always will be ❤
