Well each of them had major issues and not a happy home life. But for a short time they shared a bond as friends. If you have a good family you're already better off than these characters.

Castle Rock, Oregon isn't exactly a fictional town. It's an unincorporated town located in the Northern Oregon Coast Range within the Siuslaw National Forest on Oregon Route 22 near Three Rivers.

One of the BEST adaptations of a short story-to-film EVER!!! Let's face it - it was a GREAT story. As a movie, it was brilliantly cast and remains so true to King's writing. It was amazing when I first saw it as to just how true to the story it was. This is a really nice update on the cast.

One of my fav 80s movies and i have alot of movies from the 80s and 90s that i just love that includes movies such as dream a little dream,16 candles,pretty in pink,Ferris buellers day off,the lost boys,the breakfast club,weird science,Heather's,the outsiders,grease,nightmare on elm street 1=4 , the list goes on and on what a great film this was one of the movies i watched alot of times having a horrible childhood 80s movies and music were very comforting to me and still are. Oh i forgot Edward Scissorhands now that was one of my top favorites along with girl inturrupted(i relate so much with winona ryders character in the movie)love it so much. God the 80s and 90s were amazing. Some of the best movies and music were from that era IMHO.

My father took me to the theater in the 6th grade to go see the movie. He had actually seen it the week before with my mother. It was so good he needed to see it again with his son 😊. Great memories

Very cool video info. about the characters in one of my favorite movies, had no idea that River Phoenix was born in Madras OR, thats very close to home. I watch this movie at least a one of time during a year. It reminds me of the good times and fun when I was young and going on adventures with my friends back in those days, great film for me, fun yet it has that macabre feel to it... trying to find a dead kid. such a funny movie the part with the junk yard dog "Sick Balls" and the scene with the leaches at the bog, Poor "Gordie" got the worst of it LOL! nice video thanks for posting this article.

Stand by me is one of my favourite movie and my favourite person in Stand by me is Teddy and Chris. I feel bad for Chris I thought he was still alive I did not know that Chris died in 1993 that’s sad he was the best person in Stand by me and I really like him.
