No trim needed for waveriding...a 13/17 impeller and modifying your steering nozzle and turnplate for faster steering is all you need...blowsion tubbies make a big difference too

@@wydopen701 hi.. Awesome video.. What mods did you do to the steering nozzle and turn plate for quicker steering. I've just managed to get the last SJ701 in the country (south Africa) I'm looking at getting a blowsion shortened steering plate worx312 ride plate and worx228 intake grid.. From what I have picked up on the forums this will help alot with surf riding.. Better control and hook up... The riding you doing in the video is pretty much what I'm looking to do and hopefully some jumps etc
@@rodrickewing4824 sorry just saw this...If the superjet you are getting is a 2008 or newer they used a different steering cable/top of the pole than the older skis..for some reason they have less steering throw...ideally you would get a pre 08 pole and cable but I think someone made an adaptor but Im not sure how that works..didnt pay much attention since I use an aftermarket pole and older cable...otherwise you will want to use the aftermarket turnplate and move the mount for the cable as far out as possible...on the nozzel you want to move the cable mount as far in as possible..you just redrill the hole and mount the little ball in as close as possible...I also grind the backside of the steering nozzel so it doesn't hit on the reduction nozzel before the turnplate hits the steering stops..also I would pass on the rideplate the stock rideplate works good for the surf..I make a D cut on mine...if you go on x-h20.com and type in quick steer you will find pics...or look me up..Im wydopen on there
