All of that would have ended a WHOLE lot sooner had they simply poked a hole in the radiator. The truck would have shut off on its own doe to low coolant (one of the engine protections). Then it would simply have been a matter of approaching the drivers door and going in instead of destroying a truck.
When my Dad wrecked his car he was fined for drunk driving when he didn't even drink he was later diagnosed with a brain tumor he has sense passed away from it.
The cops completely destroyed this truck and pull the guy out like a piece of garbage They took 4 hours. And they were trying to be sensitive about the situation?
What these cops did was out of context what if this man was having a heart attack or a stroke or mental breakdown. What if The police can't take any chances here, as they do not know what the driver is up to. What if the truck had run over a person, and the police was asked 'why didn't you do whatever to stop this truck before it went wrong! This reminds me of a situation my brother was involved in. He was driving home from work and had a medical emergency, his sugars I believe. He passed the police speeding and drove all the way home with them behind him. When he got there and parked they jumped out with their guns drawn. He didn’t move, just sat with his hands on the wheel. His wife came outside and immediately knew something wrong with him. My criticism of the police was that they completely ignored her telling them there was a problem and tased him. They then called an ambulance and took him to the hospital.

I thought the police were very feely touchy about this incident. They spend over three hours getting this guy off the road. In the old days, they would have had him in custody in less than an hour. But that is what the "sensitive" public demands these days. Then they complain about having to sit in traffic for over three hours because of some fool. They can't have it both ways.

This was an independent driver and he most of been in drugs or someone else, they said he was driving 45 miles on hwy , that was an indication of not being on something speed , glad that nobody got hurt , good work fir the officers .

Could have been driver medical emergency, yes, but in any case the cops had to get him off the road. If it wasn’t a medical emergency (hope it wasn’t), then a bad guy was taken off the streets. Either way, great job SWAT, Texas cops, firefighters, medics, and media. For a minute, I was worried that he was sitting on explosives. 🧨
But if it was a medical emergency, then excessive force was used for the poor guy. You know, back in my day the cops would actually converse with the driver to determine if it was a medical issue before tearing his vehicle apart.
@@justj1393 I agree but at the same time I have a little experience on this subject. Doesn’t make it right but in their defense they do have to assume the worst. My sister had a diabetic reaction while she was driving and she ended up wrecking her car. Fortunately, it was a single car accident but when the police arrived, they did not know she was in her diabetic reaction and they thought she was a drunk driver. They put her in handcuffs and arrested her. I’ll never forget that day when I got the phone call that she was in jail. It was then that I was able to tell the police that my sister was a diabetic and on the way to the jail. I stopped and picked up some orange juice and some candy. Once they were able to see what she was like after she came out of her diabetic reaction I realized, of course, that the story was true. Everything ended well however, the car was totaled. My sister was OK but all of us were pretty traumatized. Again, excessive force is not the answer at all however, there’s really no way in knowing what they’re dealing with until after the fact. In hindsight, they may even use that whole scenario for training purposes, and hopefully something good will come of it. I thought about the bloody face of that man, and it was probably caused by the fact that he had hit his face on the road but that was a pretty far drop and most likely caused the heavy fall of his dead bodyweight. It’s just an observation I made watching the video, but of course I wasn’t there so it’s hard to tell.
Why do people automatically jump to the conclusion that the person must be on drugs , if you do your home work many many of situations like this have happened with no drugs involved . People are on the edge these days from all the corruption in this world and people losing there homes or jobs or just the stress from trying to stay above and lose your home . But anyone who keeps on sinning does not know him or understand who he is. 7¶Dear children, don’t let anyone deceive you about this: When people do what is right, it shows that they are righteous, even as Christ is righteous. 8But when people keep on sinning, it shows that they belong to the devil, who has been sinning since the beginning. But the Son of God came to destroy the works of the devil. 9Those who have been born into God’s family do not make a practice of sinning, because God’s life is in them. So they can’t keep on sinning, because they are children of God. 10So now we can tell who are children of God and who are children of the devil.
