S. Rachmaninov : Piano concerto Nr. 2 c-minor Moderato Adagio sostenuto - 11:40 Allegro scherzando - 23:20 NHK Symphony Orchestra Yuzo Toyama Stanislav Bunin, piano 1th September 1990
I discovered Stanislav Bunin with wonder only a few months ago. Each of his recordings is a source of joy and happiness for me. His interpretation of this Rachmaninoff concerto is astounding in its strength, lyricism and musical intelligence.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for uploading this! I used to listen to it everyday on RU-vid until the video got taken down. You uploading this brings so much joy to me. Stanislav Bunin is truly an amazing pianist ☺️
Stanislav Bunin is a phenomenally artistic musician, with enormous capacity to project the music~~~ as it inhabits him while he is playing! So unabashed, natural, and passionate, his extensive virtuosity always used in the service of his music. Genius and devotion!
Rachmaninow mein Komponist, so tragisch, ausgezeichnete Pianist , die schöne Musik konnte mich begleiten jeden Tag, da wehre mein Leben leichter, nach dem Verlust meiner Familie. Danke, danke.
I cannot live without this piece! It has always been a constant companion in my life. How beautiful this performance is! These two gentlemen are a perfect match. The pianist is superb and the conductor is a magician. Also the orchestra is splendid. It's such a pity that Mr. Bunin has disappeared from music halls. I hope he'll recover soon and I wish him all the best!❤
This is one of the best performances of Rachmaninov's 2nd concerto I have ever heard! Thank you Stanislav for the enormous pleasure - you are brilliant pianist!
What a great Orchestra, what a great pianist, Stanislav Bunin. I have been following him for at least 30 years, since that amazing collection "Masters of Classical Music". He recorded some pieces on the CD corresponding to Chopin. Of course, he has a lot of great recordings too. Bestr regards from Santa Cruz, Bolivia.

At that time, on the eve of the Russian revolution, the whole Russia was under the cruel rule of the ruling class, which was like a prison. Many intellectuals were deeply dissatisfied with the reality and depressed. Rachmaninov’s early works reflected the perplexity, despair and depression of Russian bourgeois intellectuals at that time, and also reflected their dissatisfaction with reality and their pursuit of personal spiritual sustenance
He had a serious accident in 2013 and has not performed on stage since. Recently, I saw an announcement on Japanese television (NHK) that he would start performing again and is preparing a tour in Japan in the fall of 2013. Hallelujah.
