Love it all I just wish I could pick like the greatest of all time let this in mind I will never stop playing a guitar as long that God give me the gift as he given to these men
I agree with 74jailbreaker: The masters of slap bass all on one stage. I had already bought this song (mp3), but this live version had me dancin', upside down, on the roof. Many thanks to Horthy66 for uploading and for the artists and producers who made it happen. :)
I'm a funk/soul/jazz guy at heat. Though, "don't be close" etc: in a whole different category of "enormous guttural" bass players, what I would like to hear could be a Tony Levin / Jannick Top / ???? trio - could anyone suggest a third name? Maybe Pino Palladino during his life in the 80s, " I´m gonna tear your Playhouse down" time?
Я случайно наткнулась на этих исполнителей! О Боже, это так нереально круто! Ничуть не хуже, а может даже лучше разной попсы, что сейчас играет в наушниках большинства молодежи!!!
If I was as good as one of these guys farts, I'd die happy! Seriously, I could practice for three lifetimes and never be as good as one of these guys, cuz I almost have practiced for one. I've been playing bass for forty years and I can't hold a candle to any of the three. They are simply astonishing, amazing and incredible! Thank you ever so much for getting together. Bravo!!
Whats wrong with that audience?! Poor Marcus....talkin' to 'em...TRYIN' to breathe life into them!!! Of course....if the beasts on bass didn't do it for 'em....words didn't stand a chance....won 'em over there in the end...good grief!!
I used to think this is bodybuilding bass. Now I think this is p*rn bass. I mean, OK, but use with use in moderation. If you're a bass player I guess you'll get what I mean.
I have just recently started to enjoy and appreciate the bass guitar. However, what pleases me the most is that the musicians recognize and make room for each other others gifts. (1Corr.12) God bless you and I pray that He will take you higher into another dimention with your gifts.
What a bunch of stiffs in the crowd. Three of the greatest bassists ever, sharing the same stage... and the audience seems as if they're comatose. How embarrassing.
De er en av verdens beste bassister ,,somen motspiller Mata Eilertsen er ikkeet genu . Kanskje et lite m-eksperiment .For en kul dyr . Dave Holland . Ikke glem det Wojciech Pilichowski .
Most boring dead audience haha its like everyone that got a ticket didn't want to be there or had no idea what jazz was...but how you can sit like that and not even move your head its beyond me
I'm a guitar player... and don't miss it at all....lol... baddest of the bad men... I think I'd donate an organ to see Vic, Jeff Beck & Jan Hammer together... you guys pick the drummer..lol...
@waitingd21 agree with 4strings4me, Louis a very very very good one trick pony, yes saw his lesson videos over 20 years ago.. Good chops but doesnt even come close to Miller's bass repertoire
man I love and have idolized each and every one of these cat's. but I must say Marcus Miller's sound isn't quite as distinctive as Stanley's or even Victors, but it's way bigger and thicker! listen when there blasting away and you'll definitely hear marcus' bass offer the others not bcuz he's playing harder or louder it's that fatass sound! Nothing against any of my hero's up there the greatest in the world to me, but I'm talking all sound not technical skills. bcuz there's nothing any real bass player can say wrong about these guys they can do it all! unless your a hater and you know no matter how hard you try you'll never get down like these brothers here! that ain't my story we all pro's and style & sound, is the difference in this arena not jealousy.
Dat's some good down home New Orleans style funk about as good as it gets..slap'n dat base. The crowd will learn to give up the funk one day and the whole world will dance, trust me brothers..
Doyle Carver I saw them in SF around a decade ago. I was around 16. Same set, same album release. There was nothing like it. 3 of THE legends all at once. No one will more than likely see anything like this again.
@@getmeoutofsanfrancisco9917 I had a unique vantage point with Stanley Clarke. I worked at a radio station and as the newbie, the bottom of the pole, I was assigned the job of listening to all the incoming music and judging it ear worthy. I have always felt that i discovered Stanley. His was just another 45 in the pile, but I heard it and could'nt let it go by. Ive listened to whatever he did since and played as much as possible for other ears.
it would have been nice to see bill dickens play with them often.even though most people claim think hes a show off with not soul feelling and all of that but vic envys him so to be honest hes a bad bass player hes my biggest inspiration,if he was there him and bill would of course be side by side going at it like they did in 98
"JAZZ LEGENDS" (SC)! (MM)! & (VW)! ARE "THREE" OF "JAZZMUSICS MASTER" (EB)! MEN! & ARE "THREE" OF THE "BEST IN" THE BUSINESS! & EVER! & JAZZMUSIC! IS "THE BEST MUSIC OF ALL" TIME! ANYWAY! *MIKE SPENCE!
Is anyone else getting the volume "muted" & it can't be taken off? I've been getting NO AUDIO for 2 days now! And I reported it!!! What's up with that?!!!!!!!
all they needed to complete the greatest show on earth is Mark King from level 42. he's just as funky. but I will take these three anytime. Great video Peace!
