The notch under the 2 by 4 wedge is a hydrant wrench at least in America it is I don't know how the UK's fire plugs are but in America that tool will open a hydrant

I was reviewing these and was going to get one from Amazon UK as they're not available on eBay at this size, however you advised Amazon in Germany where it is 52% cheaper from their normal selling price, at €91.64 or £78.66 including shipping. It's £118.29 from Amazon UK including shipping.

actually best to have 2 one you grind the bottom tooth off the other you keep as a extra wedge and fire hydrant wrench

Im in the UK and had to import this from Germany...cost me a fortune.Its actually pretty unwieldy and useless...a crowbar and sledgehammer would do the same,or a better job actually. The pry end is far too thick as well.
