I started playing Star Citizen last Saturday, and I'm very excited for the project. I appreciate the content of your channel, because it is concise and direct source of information. On that note aside, as a new player and as a game designer, I am a bit worried with the community overall. I do see a lot of negativity surrounding it, and I think the majority of it is due to the ignorance of not understanding the behind the scenes of developing a game nor the information on what the devs are currently doing. Thus, keep up the good work dude, keep informing people about what is going on and hopefully this helps the community, if only, a bit.
A lot of the negativity has spawned from CIG continually misleading the community as to just how close we are to release. There are several videos on the SC official channel and other games outlet interviews with Chris Roberts going back to 2014 promising the game was really close, they feel good and we will go live in 18 months. 2014 we were told coming by 2016, 2016 we were told by CR he was confident in the way the game was shaping up and it would be live within 18 months. 2018 we were again told its nearly finished, 18 months more (ie summer 2020). Summer of 2020 and it was just a little be longer. Now here we are in 2024 and they are again saying "18 months" - 2026. Which frankly a lot of people dont expect to happen. Additionally CIG has repeatedly been caught faking "in game" video demos. Just look up the Sandworm video controversy. Most of the negativity is coming in response to CIGs own words and actions.
@@1scrub2 No I'm realistic. They promised a release date for squadron 42 of 2014. That was over 10 years ago my guy. It's been how many years since they promised pyro? You're huffing copium
Love your content. This is whet I come for my stuff now. Quick and to the point. Not like some other channels that bore me or are slow on the content. My number one channel for star citizen.
One of the good things to read in the patch notes was they were bringing DLSS support back to the 1080p users. The way it was stripped out was a big shock to many users. At the same time it made performance of the whole game drop. I went from an average of 70fps to just a high of 36 and drops to mid 20s. I havent gotten into the new ptu yet, hoping that gremlin has been fixed to... Otherwise it will be a rough IAE
looking forward to playing the game again - New to star citizen. Most bugs you can work around but stuff like no where to land or no guns firing from the ships sucks- ty for covering the update.
Man when are they going to take down the "degraded performance" tag on the PU? meanwhile releasing new patches for testing in PTU?? why not fix your current live build before working on the next...
And also because the people who needs to work on the bug are not necessary the same ones that work on the next builds. Not everyone will stop working just to pretend that all of CIG is focusing on the live performances. I am sure this is still a high prio for them as they will need to clear this up for the IAE anyways. But things are not always that simple. Also, as we say in programming "9 women won't make a baby in one month" - same goes for programming. While the key people are working on fixing the bug, the others are doing other things. Throwing more man power is not always (rarely) the answer in game dev.
I'm nervous as I've had a worse experience with 3.24.2 than I had with 3.18. 30k every 10 mins, character customiser just broken and can't even access it, elevators not working for hangers on every server and now completely unable to log into the game. The installer has said: degraded issues detected, enter at your own risk, for almost 6 days now and nobody seems to be talking about it. Or is it just me? Always love your updates and content dude! Thanks for the info ❤
Quite sure the Polaris will be pre-released only to owners and maybe a few select content creators. You won't be able to have everyone spawning these things across LZs, it'll crash the server.
You are doing great keep up the amazing content. Work on your titles and thumbnails for your vids. But other than that you have great audio and video quality.
Are you partnered with any flight stick manufacturers? My mate and I are making a free 3d printable hotas, hosas, and control panel. We are wanting to get it out by next ship show down but still working on the programming. Would you be willing to help up get the word out closer to the time?
@@mayoluck im a newer player to the game so is that actually how that works? 🤣 If so Imma be pissed cause I refuse to give these guys more money until the game is actually out in the next 10 years
