In 2002, I wrote a feature length screenplay called STAR-CROSSED that turned into a production which was much less than a shoestring budget. I affectionately refer to it as “dental floss budget.” 👍 Less than a year from when I began writing - we had shot it, edited it, and premiered it to a sold out crowd at the Oklahoma City Museum of Art. It was easily one of the best times in my life getting to wear so many different creative hats from writing, directing, producing, acting, editing, scoring, sound mixing, etc. etc. etc.
This was back in the dark ages when things were shot 4:3 with ancient technology. And I basically made a movie with the money in my back pocket because I wanted to prove it could be done. 🎬 Here’s a montage I put together as a nostalgic look back on a very fun project.
