I just noticed this after all this time. In the easy route, Andross says "You will die, just like your father." but in the hard route, he says "NOW you will feel TRUE pain!" To me, it feels like in the easy route, he's already smug because this isn't the end and he'll be back. In the hard route, he's actually a little scared you got this far and beat everything he threw at you. I personally consider it interesting that he also says "TRUE pain" in the TRUE ending route. Something I JUST learned watching this! I made it so much harder on myself all this time by shooting his eyes and then shooting his hands, followed by his face. OF COURSE it makes sense now you would chuck a bomb in there. His hands opened up too! Making it so much easier than my twitchy approach. I really like how there was multiple ways to beat him in that regard though. It's really cool discovering it! I love this game. So many good memories from it. I actually teared up multiple times, hearing it. My father was a gamer before I lost him when I was 4. I hope I made you proud, Dad. Rest in Peace.
First of all I am very sorry for your loss. You must remember those moments as a treasure. 😔😔😔 Your theory is very interesting and perhaps it is not out of reality. They never really said that Fox's father was dead before the fight and you may be right and because he came by the shortest route, Andross couldn't fight him. 🤔🤔🤔
So much memories with this game. It was my first N64 game ever played. I was struggling for weeks to save Falco, I was 8 and didn't know english, I'm italian. I always saw that big spaceship going above the waterfall and I was so curious. How can I reach it? The hell is that? Then, maybe after 2 or 3 months, I remember it was sunday, Falco was save and I passed through those stone arches and he talked to me... what's that?, and suddenly he guided me through the waterfall. Finally... a new path. Defeated the enemy, Mission Accomplished and then... Sector Y. That day I was so happy... I made it, I finally discovered the alternative path. Made it through the new zone and Fox came out with "We're heading for Aquas. Report in." Oh man, so emotional... this game made my chilhood, and after 27 long years I'm still playing it with the same emotions.
This game has immense replay value, I still play my original cartridge to this day. It took me over 20 years to unlock expert mode, I still have to get the medals on expert. One of my favorites pieces of my childhood.
When a game is very good and fun, no matter how much time passes, it will always be an incredible experience to play again. To be honest, I didn't put any effort into looking for the medals, so I applaud your effort. 🫡🫡🫡
I like how completing the easy path Falco doesn’t seem too impressed after killing fake Andross, but in the true ending he cheers you on accepting you as a leader.
Thought nostalgia might be affecting my judgement. But coming back after so many years, it’s clear that the voice acting is so, so on point. Just fantastic
Its wild just how much the true ending with the apparition of fox's dad makes the fake ending feel super hollow. It just makes it feel like its missing something in retrospect.
@@chrissanchez882 Just thought I'd chime in for the fun of it! As was stated above, you have to make sure Falco does not get shot down, otherwise the game will not let you take an alternate route, even if you did the conditions right on the previous level. To get to the version of Venom where the real Andross is hiding, you have to approach Venom from Area 6.
@@crazyghost5357I found a video of the best ending for this mission! It goes under this- Star Fox 64 [Part 4] - Alternate Endings & Paths Less Traveled
@@crazyghost5357technically I've seen someone say it but here's how it goes. Bill:I'm glad we're on the same team fox. Fox:you owe me one. It's more obvious in star fox zero than 64 Edit:I just edited the comment to make it a bit more accurate since as of now,I finally didn't shoot down any of bill's allies. Correction:it's actually "you owe me one."
Those of the bosses that don't talk back seem as if they're not really bosses at all, that being the: Bacoon, Vulain, and Goras. Plus the Mechbeth is just a finally used by the conductor who uses fight you with, and the Gorgon deployed by the person that ordered it be used. Copperhead missiles are just weapons. It looks better fighting the real Andross and not fake robot Andross. It's easier to get in rang of Andross if do a U turn instead of turning when he teleports behind you.
Personally, I was more shocked by the solo kill he got on that missile in Sector Z. I've had them kill-steal on me before, but I've never actually seen them shoot that competently!
if you leave them alone long enough they will 'eventually' kill their tailing star wolf members, you have to just shoot them enough times so that the star wolf member tailing each of the star fox members break off them. With the lvl 3 guns its generally 'harder' to do this cause you do so much dmg you end up killing them, but level 2 and especially lvl 1 will allow you to deal enough dmg to get them off the star fox team members. after that its just waiting long enough, they'll even taunt and banter with each other with Leon daring Falco to 'shoot him down if he can'
The Starfox Movie (N64) All Bosses Boss 1 Granga's Mech Boss 2 Attack Carrier Boss 3 Meteor Crusher Boss 4 Shogun Warriors & Shogun Warlord Boss 5 Starwolf Wolfen Boss 6 Saucerer Boss 7 Bacoon Boss 8 Spyborg Boss 9 Vulcain Boss 10 Sarumarine Boss 11 Goras Boss 12 Mechbeth Boss 13 Copperhead Missile Boss 14 Starwolf Wolfen/The Boise Core Boss 15 Golemech Boss 16 Starwolf Wolfen 2 & Andross Final.Boss - Missiles + Ending & Credits
You know what's funny out of all the bosses other than maybe Andros spyborg probably has the most character & personality of all of them not to mention a background all the other bosses are literally just we work for Andros bye.
Esse jogo é muito bom! Ainda mais a trilha sonora te faz sentir como um herói e deixa tudo bem mais épico, a melhor parte com certeza são os diálogos e a química entre os personagens
Still don't understand why the hell they never did another one or release the 3ds version on switch If mission says accomplished I think it ment you didn't get the medal if I remember reading in a guide years ago. God I loved the N64 😊
Like DK, Star Fox is one of the Nintendo franchises that doesn't get any attention. It's a shame because it has a lot of followers who want new games. I had no idea about the medals!!!! And I have played it many times!!! 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
This is an older post, but I think getting the medals is only dependent on having your wingmen still alive and getting the required number of points. I think the difference between "Complete" and "Accomplished" is whether you achieved the (occasionally secret) objective in the level, to go on the alternate path.
@@crazyghost5357to get medals, you must have the following: Get a set amount of hits (multiples of 50) Have all 3 teammates in mission The indication for the medal is the hit score becoming brown
Tenias que hacer mas de 300 hits, era relativamente facil ya que el mapa tenia muchos enemigos y las naves grandes daban como 5 hits. Igual los numeros cambiaban de color a rojo cuando lograbas los hits para la ruta alterna.
