Im 60 years old and back in the 1970s when i was growing up we had some awesome summers but when those back to school sale commercials started coming on tv and the promotion for the Jerry Lewis telethon although it was an awesome marathon i hated it because u knew that was time was coming soon to go back to school after having a good summer

Imo Gayle King likes being in discussions vicariously through Oprah. With all of her own accomplishments and even with her recent SI photo cover pics, Gayle King seems a bit insecure to me. Al Reynolds didn’t actually speak of his marriage, he spoke of all his past relationships knew he was bisexual. Star Jones was his wife so that’s one of his past relationships.
Not during that RU-vid live, but in a previous one when he was asked directly about Star, I think I recall him answering affirmatively. This was when funky dineva was still cohosting the show.
I don't believe AL Reynolds one bit. Star may have suspected and really wanted to get married but I don't think she really knew the truth about him from him imho.

The 1st season of Bridgerton was really good and unlike anything we've seen. The 2nd season was a watered down, hot mess. I'm hoping they go back to whatever they did to make season one so good. Yes I think any show with long delays in getting their new shows out, run the risk of people losing interest or forgetting about the show all together. 🤷🏽♀️
Gayle is an accomplished anchor in her own right.if you watch the show, she never mentions Oprah. She was mentioned this time because she was supposed to be there to announce/ promote the book for her book club.
Starr Jones knew Al was bisexual when they got married. She acted shocked. She purposely played dumb. She probably didn't want to look bad to anyone. Who cares. That's who you chose. She just wanted a husband.
@rellenoz I think she knew about his sexuality,, but played dumb until she could no more. As for Al's finances, he wasn't broke at the time. I believe he worked at Deutsche Bank when he met Star. He was fine financially, but I think rumors of his sexuality led to his banking career demise. They likely made it clear there was no future for his "sweet" self in that conservative space so that led to his many odd jobs for survival.
Best friend or not, Oprah fan or not, Gayle King was wrong. It was not cool to talk about Oprah's bathroom sickness on national TV. All she had to say was that Oprah was not feeling well, and she regrets not being able to make the broadcast. Sharing that type of information on a MORNING TV show was not classy. People could have been eating breakfast. No one wants a visual of Oprah Winfrey in the bathroom in their head all day.

@autumnsmom1117 The director of LUTHER: NEVER TOO MUCH announced at the TRIBECA debut yesterday afternoon that CNN FILMS bought the film. So CNN, OWN, and MAX will likely air it in 2025. It was just wonderful to see his niece and best friends do the Q and A. Luther had some wonderful day 1 friends who rode with him until he died and likely in perpetuity. His best female friend met him in the Bronx on the D train 🚆 of all places. 😆 They went to Taft H.S. together.
I watch TEA GIF almost every night & Al really didn’t answer Luenells question. I didn’t realize that there was a SNL skit about Al & Star until he said it when they were discussing a show that spoofed Lizzo. It’s here on YT & it’s hilarious.

Bridgerton is my new high! I knew I would be a little disappointed when Reggae Jean Page didn't return or make a couple of appearances, and now that Daphne isn't returning(who played his wife). The start was so intense and strong that Bridgerton drew 80 million viewers its first season. The 2nd season drew in 60 million viewers(the first report). 3rd season took in 28 million viewers. Bridgerton is clearly losing its steam. Millions didn't return because Simon (Reggae) character didn't make one appearance!😢 Each Bridgerton sibling is supposed to have a romance/love awakening and marry! The 3rd season was Colin Bridgerton and Penelope's love story. Also, Lady Whistledown is revealed in S3.

RE: Bridgerton I think they diluted Penelope’s & Colin’s love story with all the side stories. I did not like the way they veered from the books so much. I liked Season 3, hopefully Season 4 will be as good as Season 1.

Star Jones reminded me of Terry McMillan with those gay husband's. We ALL looked at those 2 men and saw gay. How did they not? Aint no straight walking around with no big , greasey lips and that's a fact. They said they weren't told bit nobody told me and I could see it clearly.
