Join me for a loop trail hike in Mashannon State Park. I travel through a diverse forest along the lake. The smell intrigues me as I hike into a pine forest. The deciduous trees overwhelm me. It is one of my favorite wood trails.

I always enjoy hiking through a pine forest too. Thats an interesting study about the ferns and 30 years of research by that researcher is impressive. It looks like you really enjoyed your time at Black Moshannon.

Nice shot at 2:45. Beautiful forest. Like you, I really appreciate all the sensations of the forest: the sounds, and the smells. Unfortunately, video can only convey the visual, and a bit of the auditory. I don't know if you saw it, but Jeremy's latest video is from that same area, including the Moss-Hanne Trail. I expect you'd enjoy it.
