Man, that Scatter Beam and Fists of Fury spam is just too good. Sure as heck beats how I did the Freya fight, just face-tanking Ether strikes with a beefed up Fayt tank in one corner while Sophia hides out on the total opposite side of the arena ready with protection, angel feather and heals. And, that 574 combo was awesome.

Even the game knows how silly the self-aware plot was and thus the error was unavoidable. Also the music playing while fighting Freya, brings back great memories of purifying a certain trickster god and cleansing his rotten soul!.

they say after that day, Loli Freya grew to be 3 times that size and went to a new world with people who have more fabulous hair than her own

So... this will be the first ever time I ever saw the cutscene and battle with Dark Luther in this game. Also: "I am a Shadow, the true self!"

Wait. I just realized, if the Universe of Star Ocean 3 is a video game does that mean the Valkyrie Profile character bosses and references are a fucking crossover event? WAS THIS GAME FORESHADOWING STAR OCEAN ANAMNESIS!?!?!

Freya was the boss I could never get passed on PS2.

I think that pool connects with alternate universes outside the Eternal Sphere, though because it’s canonicity is very ambiguous
