It's time for Coach to lay down the law when his star player thinks he's better than the rest of the team - and the rules. Will he be allowed to play in the big game?
From Coach Season One Episode 11, "Who's Team Is It Anyway?": Hayden wants to teach the star player a lesson when he develops a superiority complex. Meanwhile, his daughter forces him to adopt a dog.
From "Coach", a TV series following football coach Hayden Fox, the head coach of Minnesota State University's Screaming Eagles for much of the series' run. He has to contend with a team that has seen better days, a couple of none-too-bright assistant coaches, a partner who isn't half as obsessed with football, the arrival of his long-estranged daughter at college and all the rest of the situations that come along in Big Ten athletics. For the show's final two seasons, Fox coaches an expansion team in the NFL.
Get nostalgic with Comedy Bites Vintage, bringing you the funniest clips from your favorite classic sitcoms and TV shows - including Will & Grace, Coach, Weird Science and many more!

You don't reward bad behavior. Bottom line. Carter's got an attitude problem that contradicts the concept of teamwork. Haden called it; he doesn't share the ideal of a team. He is only out for himself. He thinks that his talent allows him to get away with everything. If you can do something better than others, it's your obligation to use it to raise other people up instead of stepping over them. Carter, sadly, is in the latter category. That joke about going to the pros speaks volumes. Like Haden said, he's an ass. He chose to believe in his team and not in Carter's supposed importance.

I grew up watching Coach. I feel like this reflects how society has changed today. When people didn’t used to have integrity, they were called out for it and reprimanded. Today it just seems like they’re rewarded or others seem to think they’re great. I just don’t get it. I’ve always tried to be one of those people with integrity, but it’s just caused me to lose my job several times while others who don’t have those qualities are rewarded, and to be alone because I’m considered to be an “outlier”, while others have lots of friends, a spouse, etc.

The words every smug young punk needs to hear. Especially top athletes who think they can go pro. They think they can do whatever they want and feel the world should be thanking them for being born and gracing us with the privilege of allowing us to be entertained by them and for being good at playing with balls.

Only problem is that this would NEVER happen at a real univ football program, especially with how they treat their delicate little tulip players. Those spoiled primadonnas get everything handed to the, they don't even have to work for their degrees, it's just handed to them.

Try that again... you must gave missed the navy vs notre dame game where one of notre dame best players stsrted taunting the navy sideline and the coach benched his ass for the rest of the game... is one game where neither side taunts the other nor is it allowed by either side in any way shape or form... (goes back to when notre dame was bankrupt and going to have to close its doors and the naval academy loaned them the money to keep their doors open and keep teaching)
