The Empress was just a puppet that Glamoth used to control the Iron Cavalry through dreams and telepathy. Titania the " Empress" either died in a rebellion against her masters or when the planet died because the sun was blocked out because of the sheer amount of dead bodies on both sides.

If the tree is not in her imagination, I could see her being the emanator of Abundance (or another Eon with a similar domain, given that technically, Yaoshi was not yet born during the Swarm Disaster)

They really hit home that the Swarm Disaster was hell and Firefly has major trauma from it all. She lost everyone. And now she'll have to suffer three deaths... Poor girl.

So apparently Firefly has Cyan blood. Which means that those are blood vessels on her cheeks when she exits SAM

Something I just noticed when Robin disguises herself she takes off her halo. It didn't occur to me it would be removable.

If what I heard is true then killing the empress (if shes alive) will do nothing. She's just like them, created to be figurehead that the council could control.

Yes, with this "short" animation and her Myriad we still have her actual trailer too. Hopefully it is a little more light hearted and shows her time with the Stelleron Hunters. I am kind of expecting one of her remaining "deaths" to be of S.A.M. and have her give a speech about how she doesn't want to die as S.A.M. but to live as Firefly (which I feel was foreshadowed in game with her conversation with Blade).

So just to add on some stuff its most likely that what we saw in the firefly animated short is her first time in her full combustion form. A special form that was unlocked through sheer will according to the firefly keeping up with star rail If its in the swarm disaster era then its unlikely to be abundance since it didnt exist yet

19:48 The Iron Cavalry weren't really created with long term survival in mind, also as mentioned later in the animation Glamoth was already gone by this point so the Iron Cavalry was kinda just fighting cause they had nothing left to do but fight. Odds the reason why the orbital laser was tied to a targeting beacon on their own armor has more to do with the fact that the orbital laser was likely fully automated due to the fact that any personnel sent to man something like that would be dead as there isn't much chance of them getting out, and that's not even getting into the fact they probably released tons of those weapons platforms to ensure that at least some of them remain intact to take the shot. But yeah, Glamoth were not good to the Iron Cavalry and it baked into the very regulations they operate under: Article 1: Knights should feel honored to be born. Article 2: Remain on guard. Article 4: Leaving the cockpit is strictly prohibited. Article 8: Surviving Knights should immediately return to their units. Article 22: Knights must give all they have to Her Majesty, the queen, including their lives. Of the Articles we know, aside from 2 which is just common sense, they all are basically saying "be happy, you exist to fight and die to the Swarm for the sake of Glamoth and that is all you should do with your life." 22:28 This being Abundance is very up in the air since we don't have any concrete information on when in the timeline Glamoth fought the Swarm, as it hasn't been confirmed yet if it was during the Swarm Disaster itself or remnants of the Swarm later (though I personally think it was during the Swarm Disaster). If it was during the Swarm Disaster though then it cannot be the Abundance since Yaoshi (and thus the Path of Abundance itself) wasn't around during the Swarm Disaster.

What Firefly says in Penacony is the same line about her dreams as in this trailer. Then states life slumbers because it is afraid to wake from the dream. My inference is that she dreamed this short ad nauseam during her stasis around Glamoth's ruins up until Kafka found her however long it was after the events that put her into stasis. edit: i somehow wrote an incoherent first sentence

I researched Firefly before this animation was released, and I honestly got the impression that Trailblazer was the one who found Firefly in her cryopod and recruited her. I guess I was wrong. I was kind of hoping that we would see Stellaron Hunter Trailblazer in this animation. But there's something very odd about that ending. I feel like I'm missing something here. Maybe it's still too early to tell even after watching this animation. There's something about the ending that I can't piece together. She couldn't have survived for so many years while suffering from her illness. Maybe I might learn more once her banner is released while holding on to holding on to the theory that Trailblazer recruited Firefly.

If I have a dollar for every republic in sci-fi that I known of using slave clone soldiers, I would get 2 dollars. But it's strange that it happened twice.😅 The Empire of Glamoth doesn't exist. It is a Republic. The Empress exist, but she is just like them. Only as a commander model. The position of empress itself doesn't exist. Also, at the point of the animation, Glamoth itself had already ceased to exist. The only thing left of Glamoth was actually the Iron Cavalry themselves. Since they were actually powerful enough to survive and was semi self-sufficient at least.

I was teasing you for some of your comments in the other clip, but in Embers of Glamoth? Your reaction really resonated with me when I saw you get emotionally punched at the same time I do. Most streamers I saw were females crying at every second of the video, which wasn't relatable. But you? You cared about every second, but you got visibly punched when her wings first unfurled, and she blasted alone toward this new wave of bugs. Same as me, more so each time I watched it. I personally think the tree was not there and was symbolic of her will to fight, to endure. Others have concluded like you that it was a blessing from Yaoshi, which would suggest we're not watching the Swarm Disaster but a more recent infestation, and the Iron Cavalry isn't so distant a memory.

That animated short was a little depressing but I can't deny that it's extremely well made it looks quite beautiful and it puts into perspective how horrific the swarm disaster was truly

1. AR project looks like local version of A project that was continued. So no, they are not Kianas, they are Teris/Lunas/Ambers 2. About remote targeting - after fall of Glamoth they did run out of all supplies pretty much. They don't even have replacement clothes any more, much less combat supplies that are spent up. That part of Glamoth orbital defense grid still existed and so it was possible to target enemy with something is miracle by itself. 3. It's heavily implied that they are fighting on Glamoth's moon (like Firefly looking above when saying that there is no more Glamoth) and Glamoth itself is already lifeless rock as we can see.

Just to clarify any confusion from the celestia trailer and the animated short, as those that were featured was from different squads and i could only assume each squad number corresponds with the SAM mech type as our Firefly is a type 4 and was in squad 4. Sadly if subtitles was used, u would of seen that squad 2 was gone already. just making this point as we definitely don't know for sure if the ones featured in the celestia trailer are already dead since they belonged to other squads. also just to add, the swarm disaster was so large is devasted a whole galaxy and the war that took place was like 100s to a 1000 years in the past. a disaster so large that Aeons had to team up to just seal away the Aeon of Propagation, meaning THEY are not dead yet.

Ive watched many reactions to this and it hits every time. I aint ashamed to admit i shed many tears to this video. Hoyo is going all in on Firefly, they know damn well what theyre doing here and im probably gonna spend even though im fully guaranteed lol

Firefly has endured so much. That floating in space amongst the debris with that piano... it's like she's finally free of it all, but at such a great cost. :(

the path of abundance is not exist yet, since yaoshi not yet born probably just miracle occuring, like last struggle of life from the planet, giving all life energy to firefly, so she can destroy everything instead being consumed by the swarm.

I’m don’t know why, but watching the Firefly trailer threw a bunch of memories of really dark, and intense scenes similar to the battle shown. From an assortment of other media, some that I remember, but also some that I had forced back. For example, I watched Black Bullet when I was way too young, and it took me a while to shove that to the back of my mind. But I also thought of the intro scenes to Code Vein, where other revenants just get shredded in front of you. Thankfully though, also thought of some not so grim things like EDF, and Helldivers.

And then there's Ruan Mei trying to play god and create an Emanator of these bugs, knowing full well of their threat level ...

Yeah, that Firefly short was particularly painful and poignant. Also beautifully made. As for Kafka just "happening" upon Firefly, wouldn't it make more since if Ellio placed her there? There's still so little we know about the Stellaron Hunters. But 'picking up strays', makes me wonder... who else picks up strays and handles Stellarons? The Astral Express. Despite the chaos they brew or are part of, the Hunters don't seem to work towards evil. What if the Hunters are a dark reflection of the Astral Express, blazing their own trail against whatever might be before them? Himeko does mention that there are rumors of other vehicles like the Express, possibly in line with Akivili and the Nameless.

I love how Firefly’s Myriad Celestia trailer is so pretty and bittersweet and then her animated short is “WAR IS HELL.”

The game is already 30GB as is, if they keep including all these animations in it, it's gonna destroy your device memory.

The fact that the targetting beacon was their own visors from their helmets shows that this was never a war they were meant to win - it was a suicide mission to wipe out both the Swarm on Glamoth and themselves... They were fighting for an already dead empire who treated them not as people, but as weapons. It's truly heartbreaking.
