I saw the bags or Morton rock salt in the video. That is what I use in my koi pond. Is that what you use for the Africans

why take fish from the wild when many of the species are threatened when you can easily breed them

Great question and there’s a great article on the science direct web site, “The Role of Captive Breeding in Reintroducing Endangered Species to the Wild" by Armstrong and Seddon (2008)”. All wild-caught species populations that are introduced to our operation come from government-managed locations whose main goal is to protect and ensure that the species continue to thrive both in their natural habitat and beyond.
