It wasn't even a fail. He didn't drop it. The hand piece came off, as he was still holding the strap. Even if he had picked it back up, it wouldn't have worked properly. He did the next best thing. Awesome kid.

This shouldn't be labeled as a "fail" in any way. The strap came off of the cymbal. He didn't drop it, it fell apart. Even if he had picked it back up, it wouldn't have worked properly because his hand would have dulled the vibration. You can see the pieces of it after the camera zooms out at the end. He did a great job and did the next best thing. Good on ya, kid. Well done.

Instrument fail during a performance is one of the most stressful and terrifying things ever. Valves stick and you play the wrong note, music stand falls over, drums break, string snaps. It's so stressful.
