That was very interesting, especially what you explained about the alpha/beta phases. That explains A LOT: now that you say it, it's pretty apparent that there has been a first wave of content until 2014, then a second one until 2016, both of which having very coherent and logical questlines that really do feel like they were planned out properly, and after that it's like whoever was working on quests was in the dark and making things from scratch, trying to add up to what already existed, but with no proper direction and seemingly no idea of how to end the main story (and even the side questlines too). So many things have been abandonned and left unfinished, since 2017 especially.
That's when the first shakeup of the team started. And then they did hire a content designer (what they call a writer) for a while, but I have no idea if he (yes, a he) is still there. But last year, they allegedly fired 6 people who did most of the writing, and now random employees are doing quests. It's enough to make me... spit. Because since 2017 they've put no focus at all on their older players. So, yeah, that's where we are.
I can happily say you gained your 100th subscriber! I have binged all of your videos from this series so far and it's amazing! And yes, I agree- the griefer problem, i myself have glitched into various areas because i am simply bored out of my mind! I don't know what I would call myself? I suppose an explorer, i enjoy quests it's the main reason i got the game back in the day because my favorite youtubers were showing the new main quests and i was so interested! But sadly it has turned into a grind fest, as I myself tend to burn through quests fast- in any game, hyperfocus is my friend and worst enemy haha

You had no reason to look. I only went looking b/c I was curious as to how PEGI and ESRB rated the game and was pretty shocked I couldn't find it. They had a "safety check" thing at one point and now are touting they are COPPA and GRDP approved but those aren't the same things at all. I do find it sketchy. Very sketchy. I wonder how the game is categorized by PEGI if it doesn't have a rating. It's an Early Access. It is beta? That's the only reason I can think why they don't have a PEGI rating.
I'm watching this yet again as I wait for my game to load to see how bad they botched my favorite breed the icelandics in the update. Just reinstating the standards set by SSO and not by me bc they will always fall short so long as Johan is in it for the money and not the opportunity that Frederik left him. Johan if you're reading this for whatever reason, respectfully, wtf man?
