Oh wow, your so organized. This helped me a lot. I have things written down but I’m pretty sure I need to write more things down😆 Thank you for sending this video to me Bec!
OMG TY!! This is going to help me with my club soo much! I'm the owner and we decided to revamp and I was looking at some club videos and saw this and I've decided to actually start using a whole new notebook to help out! I'm sure this will help make the club improve soo much more! I am now subscribing 🥰
Idk how to feel when someone says its just a game there isn't a reason to go into this much detail End note that wording is exactly what my old club used to say even after they said they wanted to be elite but you can't be elite with putting in the time and work
Yes absolutely, whatever you define as "success" or "elite" in your club, you have to put in the work. A lot of work. The details matter, and a lot of club owners are doing great things because they out in the work and look at the details!
Thank you for this! This is actually very informative! As someone who wants to own a dressage club, I didn’t know where to start or how I should do it. This gives me a good idea on how to stay organized and run it properly. Do you have any ideas for things to do regarding hangouts or events for clubs? Also in meetings, what exactly would you discuss?
For events, take a look at the rest of my channel (specifically anything related to Emerald Hunters) for some event ideas! I've posted some really unique ideas that were a lot of fun! As for club meetings, we don't really hold meetings that often. For us, meetings are more "administrative" and only hold them if we are making big changes. So for example, if we were to change our club uniform, level requirement, horse requirement, rebranding our club or were having a major issue with a member, we would all get together and discuss. Hope this helps!
@@ShibaInu102 for the most part, and especially when I was first starting (like the first 6 months) yes. I have 2 staff now, and have only had 2 staff for a majority of the club's existence because we have never gone over 20 members so therefore I don't need more staff.
Oh yeah absolutely! There are a lot of hard things to deal with as a club owner that no one really talks about, like dealing with drama, losing members, not having enough members for routines, etc. And especially those club owners who have to balance school and life on top of sso, it's certainly alot!
Daisy is correct: February 4th, 2021 at 12pm PST is when our apps will open. They will close February 7th, 11:59pm PST. I will be launching the new website and making an announcement video about it tomorrow as well!
Hello! I want to start a dressage and hangout club and i know what they are like when they are successful since i have been in pretty successful dressage and hangout clubs and i am greatful for those experiences but i have always wanted to make my own club, But i sorta forgot most of the elite moves due to my long break haha- Is there any tips for remembering them? Also, before i make it i wanna ask, would my calender too full to make a club? Since i only have about 2 days with nothing at all, and the rest of the days i have events that happen in the more so late afternoon and night-
Hi there, here are my thoughts! For remembering elite moves, I definitely recommend making flashcards with diagrams, and then using those cards to practice in-game. Sure you can memorize a definition, but it's when you perform the move in game that you really get a better understanding of how to perform it. In terms of your schedule, I would say that you can still make your club, as long as those 2 open days in your schedule are CONSISTENTLY dedicated to SSO events. That way your members can always expect there to be something going on on those days. As your club grows, you may consider recruiting leaders from within your club to begin running activities when you're not available. For example, if you have a member who can always log on Mondays but you can't, and they demonstrate good leadership, you can have them run dressage practice for beginners (again just an example). You'll have to have frequent contact with that person and really make sure you can rely on them to run activities because they need to be able to handle any issues that come up while you're away. Hope that helps!
Yeah there are many challenges and details to remember, but working through those challenges and writing out those details in my notebook is what helps me the most! Your notebook is a safe space for all things club management related!
@@RebeccaRavenbird i have trouble remembering moves, and keeping them down.. but i reaaaaally wanna make a dressage club.. also, do dressage clubs HAVE to have a comp team? cause comps scare me
@@randolyricx1478 you might want to try writing dressage flashcards! Flash cards are an active recall tool that are highly effective when used correctly. Of course, you will also have to practice in game with your flashcards. And clubs don't have to have comp teams! For us, our comp team is more relaxed where we only participate in 3-5 comps per year or so, while other clubs have a more rigorous schedule competing in 5-8 comps per year or so. However, there dressage clubs are perfectly capable of existing and thriving without competing!
@@RebeccaRavenbird Okay! im actually getting a notebook today to use. Im going to plan out my club, and then when im ready, i will make my club. im going to wait until im level 20. right now, i am level 16
@@randolyricx1478 awesome! Having a notebook and writing everything down is incredibly helpful! I'm a visual learner so I really have to see my thoughts translated on paper for me to retain information. Best of luck in your club journey!
