Star Stable through the years (2010 - 2023) 

I created my first account in 2015-2016, and I still miss these times ...

Remember when you couldn't jump without star rider? When you created your character directly in the game instead of a website? When all horses looked the same, just had different colours and slightly different hairstyles? Yep, great times.

Star Stable used to have this mystic, mysterious and somehow dark atmosphere that was combined with its beauty in different landscapes, places, characters and stories. Being the main character of the quests, was equally thrilling as it was eerie... But, around 2017 and 2018, quests became dull and repetitive and, since then, I've always found myself skipping all the dialogue and going straight to earn the XP. Horses along with SR, are the main source where the company gets money and that's why they've been so determined with releasing new and updated breeds... and any now and then, with new quests content which were gradually losing the magic they used to have and which represented what Star Stable originally was. At first, I thought it had to do with me growing up through the years and getting extra excited with stories that actually weren't that interesting because I was just a child. But it is unquestionable that SSO now looks and is childish, a representation of marketing itself, with a clear audience and a clear objective: achieving the most income possible. This game had certainly the potential to be incredibly good, and it’d have surely earned much more that way. But it was too risky and they opted for the securest path. Well, it was nice while it lasted.

I feel like somehow sso looked so much more alive with the old graphics and old design. It just has this very special charm the new design is lacking

I started playing in 2011, I've seen the first andalusians coming, it was so exiting and my favorite region of Jovik is the Hidden Dinosaur Valley because it was the first "mysterious" region to come out and it was the most exiting moment of my whole gameplay until now! ❤

I feel like Violet Flowergarden will always be a part of the old SSO. As we remember the old SSO’s memory, we remember her memory along with it. Why’d she have to go so soon?

I used to watch seri! She played it a while ago I was like 7 and I LOVED it! I begged my aunt and parents to get my the lifetime star rider but that was after the starter horses were not so… werid but I still miss the old stuff tho I was born in 2011

My account got made around 2017 maybe closer to 2018, and I miss those days. I wasn’t too into Star stable at the time and I was SO mad I didn’t buy some limited edition horses, but I didn’t have star rider at the time. I still remember the crusty vibes though.

I made my account 11 years ago short time after the second birthday. Still miss the old game but it's somehow nice to see how the game evolved over the years (even if it's not so good the last few years).

It's interesting watching the slow death of most things we loved about this game... it's really just a pretty picture now versus the game I grew to love..

I started playing 2014 and I really miss the old game, I play Starshine Legacy and the 4 Star Stable games sometimes just for nostalgia. The new starter horse looks like that one kid that eats boogers in class.

Star Stable was sold in 2017-2018, around the time when the Anne quests were coming out. Anything beyond that point is entirely the new teams story. They've completely scrapped everything that the old team was writing under those 8 years of main storyline development. This is most likely why the storyline has completely shifted, the quests shorter and drawn out, and why everything about the game is now money related. It's quite melancholic knowing that we'll never really know how the original storyline was planned out. Especially now that they've cut ties with Starshine Legacy completely.

As someone who recently joined the community (literally beginning of this year) i actually liked that they changed it a lot. Tue newer design of it all made me want to buy the forever star rider pack, on sale. It looks really pretty and the open world aspect is so cool! I'm 23 myself, so very much grown up, but i dont jave the nostalgia. If the game still looked like it did in the beginning, i would not have fallen in love with ot as much as i have now

I first joined in 2012 And I was very happy, I had many friends, I always had goosebumps, it was so magical, people were so cool and gentle, now I keep playing and my friends are not here anymore 😢 but I've made new ones.

I was never around for the 2011 I wish I was it looks so classic and so aesthetic and so like old I did join when it was 2022 and I have been playing the game ever since I got the newest version of the birthday horses😭

honestly, the graphics now are soooo behind the times when people have come from games like Palia, Im actually really surprised the graphics are still so old, as a returning (but very new player) the UI needs a complete overhaul to be modern

I started playing SSO when it was about 1 1/2 years old I do truly miss the old scenery and I don't really like the clay like look it has, I could go on but while I enjoy both the old and new, I do definitely feel the old is better as memory serves

I wasn’t allowed to play sso before 2018 but I used to watch hours and hours of old sso gameplay on RU-vid so I’d like to think I was at least somewhat part of the old sso community😅.

I made my first account in 2018 (I was in kindergarten 🤦🏻‍♀️) and I was WAY too young to be able to play whenever sso was actually GOOD, and I miss it ❤❤🥺😔

I can still recall when I made my first account. The sever wasn't even up yet at the time, so 14 year old me waited with baited breath for the official launch. Been playing ever since.

I also started playing in 2015 during the summer vacation and I have to say that I missed playing the old Star Stable immensely, but I still continue to play even though the current Stable is ugly and boring :D at least I try to collect all the old horses in my stable while I still have time!🎉 maybe the current Star Stable is wonderful with all the changes and everything, but I will forever love the old Star Stable, even though it is no longer there, but it lives on in my game character and old horses♥️ I also miss all the old players who have removed themselves from Star Stable, it hurts my soul when I remember them all😭😭 all players discriminate against each other and don't take anyone as a game buddy! used to be BETTER!
