"Remember Me" was a decent episode and remembered by me mostly because I was delighted that Beverly was getting her own episode at last. Gates played being disoriented and grieving so well.

That had the most heartwarming ending of any TNG episode in the entire run of the series, capped off with a warm hug and a nice soundtrack. Gives me the warm fuzzies every time I watch it. 🖖😎👍

A Crusher episode some people don’t realize is a Crusher episode is the excellent Cause and Effect. If you watch it again, you’ll realize that Dr. C is the primary viewpoint character, and she plays it well.

This is my favorite Star Trek episode. You're correct that it is somewhat Crusher focused. You could argue she's the first one that figures out something is wrong.

We need a spin off from Picard called "Crusher" where we get to see Beverly kicking ass and taking names in a show of her own. I would totally watch that.

I was not quite 5 years old when TNG first aired. But I remember sitting on the floor in front of the TV just glued to season 1 Dr. Crusher because "she has the same color red hair like me!" (and not like Pippi Longstocking, who generated so much teasing material for me). Might not be the most elegant reason for loving a character, but for kids watching a show it's a great example of "representation matters". Thank you Star Trek and especially to Gates McFadden.

Dr Crusher is one of my all-time favorite Trek characters. Gates McFadden is a big part of why. Had she not been so underutilized through the years Crusher would have been an even more outstanding character!

Season 3, Episode 1, Doctor Crusher comes back to the Enterprise and asks Jean-Luc about what kind of man Wesley is becoming. There's a brief exchange, Crusher: "What were you doing when you were his age?" Picard: "Getting into trouble, much more than him." Crusher: "So was I!" Wesley was almost summarily executed, in season 1. So, exactly WTH was young Beverly up to that was worse than pissing off a god and being sacrificed? We kind of got to see how badass she is in Picard, Season 3, but- I still want to know what Bev meant by getting into trouble. THAT was the one thing I didn't know about Beverly Crusher that I was hoping was on that list.

I liked her as Crusher in the episode "The High Ground" after the bomb in the cafe went off. When Picard threatened to have her beamed back up to the ship over her protests, Riker said that he didn't want to be the one who greeted her in the transporter room. The expression on his face was very telling. 🖖😆👍

Always had a soft spot for Beverly. I was so chuffed to see her role in S3 Picard. Her acting was sublime. On a negative, is anyone else getting fed up with the sheer number of ad breaks in short vids? 3 before the 5 minute mark is ridiculous. Obvious tactics by YT to annoy viewers into subscribing to premium

Stacking 15 second unskippable ads was what finally did it for me. Even backing out and going back in stopped working. So, Premium it was for me after I got tired of having 30 seconds of my life wasted on garbage. It really works, though. Try the free trial if it's available! 😎👍

I love Gates McFadden and Dr. Crusher. I had such a crush on her (pun intended), more so than Troi or Yar, and was mad when season 2 started and he was not there. Thank goodness the idiot that caused her absence was gone by season 3 and we got to get "Dancing" Doctor back. She is still just a beautiful and charming as ever.

Crushers' sex candle scandal is part of what makes Star Trek so fun and enjoyable. It doesn't always have to be all space ship battles and diplomacy, "the one with the whales" type episodes is great to offset serious tones. I wish people would relax a bit more when it comes to having fun.

In my nearly entire series watch, she struck me as the "only sane (wo)man" and probably the most humanized character that wasn't Data. She didn't get too many crappy episodes, but she was a balanced, fun character overall and I'd probably put her in my top ten or eight favorite trek characters. I still maintain that (controversial!) a lot of the TNG characters were dry and cardboard in personality and flaws compared to the later series, but she was less so.

"Those who can; do. Those who can't; teach Those who can't teach, teach teachers." I don't know who first said that, but it was a pretty common saying around the teacher's college I attended. But not where the professors could hear. "Those who can; do. Those who can't; teach Those who can't teach, teach gym." Quote from Jack Black's character in School of Rock.

I certainly much preferred Crusher over Pulaski, she just seemed so much more mellow and laid back, while not trying to be McCoy Mk.2 (Pulaski's transporter phobia, one-liners and random insults akin to her predecessor a century prior), even in Picard S1 where JL needed to speak to "an old friend" regarding his health, I so hoped it would have been a cameo for Bev, but no, we got a new guy allegedly Picard's CMO from the Stargazer, which was the first of the disappointments for S1 & 2...

12:13 I had someone tell me "I hope you die." once. I responded, "I'd do it if it sent you to prison for life for my murder." It one thing to wish someone would die, but it's an entirely different level to willingly surrender your life just to make sure someone spent the rest of their life in prison.

I don't think they ever gave her a part or script that was suitable for her acting, so she came off badly on screen. In general, I preferred the doggedness of Diana Muldaur to McFadden. One con I went to she was at her table all alone, looking bored, with no one even wanting to talk or get a signature.
