New upload of my 2012 video with new title and music.
The idea for this video was to create a new story using footage of several Star Trek movies and combined them with new CGI VFX.
The result was the "Attack of the Klingons".
Have fun watching.
If you would like to support me and my work, you are welcome to become a channel member. Thank you very much.

@@Kai-ow9gi From the role playing game? I don't know that much about them. What I'm hoping for is to see the starships from the movies starting with the first movie and ending with the sixth movie. I do like some of the next generation starship designs but they kinda don't fit in TMP time. If the FASA design starships conform to the 1-6 timeline, then sure, the more the better.

Makes no sense since the raise shield command was given with enough time for all shields to be up per ST 2, unless the Klingons had the frequency the disruptors would have been absorbed. I suggest an edit where shots are fired, then command is given as the impact occurs on the external shot. With and audio snip of Spock saying we were too late or circuit malfunction, sabotaged! Boom!

Well done, this was good work. However this also shows just WHY Cgi is so lame, it's immediately noticeable and when incorporated with actual video footage of camera made items. it is off with lighting and color. Models will always be more realistic especially when used in the same scenes as live actors. CGI has it's usage but it still cartoony looking.

She LOVED wearing her Vulcan ears from what she from entertainment news reported. 2: The artificial voice scene with the female-like robot voice is the only bad part. 3: ...I'm a little bumbed that Kirk wasn't victorious. 4: Other than it looking a little too clean or artificial, THIS WAS EPIC! :.D GOOD STAR TREK LIVES ON!
@SciFi-HFY
@SciFi-HFY Месяц назад
I was enjoying it until the end, when it stopped making sense. Kirk goes to yellow alert and raises shields. The bird of prey decloaks and Kirk says, "Raise shields!"... even though he just gave that order. Despite the Enterprise having raised its shields twice, the Klingon disruptors ignore the shields completely, dealing enough damage in one volley to torch the hull and leave the bridge in ruins. Then Kirk mentions getting caught with his pants down, which he didn't, because he raised the shields before it decloaked (and again right after XD). I did enjoy the updated CGI a lot. But the nonsensical storytelling at the end broke the immersion.

Unless Paramount lifts the ban for any fan movie longer than 15 minutes, we never gonna see "good Trek" in spirit anymore. I wish the fans would band together and simply "buy" Star Trek licenses. Crowdfunding by fans for fans? Sound's like utopia to me. ;-) Seriously - not kidding here. On the flic itself: the real actor scenes and the CGI portions don't exactly fit together perfectly. For perfection, you either need to adjust the CGI scenes to look like the older material, as if it was made back in the 1980ies. This is easier to achieve than the other way around. Also, there's at least one massive goof in the dialogue: Saavik orders Sulu to use aft thrusters to move the Enterprise out of the dock. However, the ship is moving in reverse - which means forward thrusters are moving the ship. No wonder Admiral Kirk looks nervous! Had Sulu done as he was ordered, the ship would have crashed into that dock. To add even more salt to the wound he's ordered to use impulse drive (1/4th impulse), which only can push the ship forward - the impulse drive is located right at the rear of the saucer section. To correct that scene, simply turn the Enterprise around and cut up the live action scene, so Savik first orders Aft thruster maneuvering to get the Enterprise out of the dock and 1/4th impulse as the ship passes the gate. If I remember correctly, that scene was also wrong in the original movie. Need to watch it again.

After the high drama of pulling out of spacedock, the battle with the Klingons could hardly compete. The first half of this short was so over-the-top that it neatly undermined the last half. Hyping up something too much does as much damage as not building up a scene. This video is a textbook example of that. Did you really not feel that the whole coming out of spacedock scene was way, way too long, and overdramatized, with all the music and the endless shots of the Enterprise?? Especially for this little film?

A job genuinely well done. However the trouble i have with these shorts although they are excellent is we're just continuosly rewatching revised versions of what we've seen many times before. It's alway's dissapointed me, theres more than enough room inside spacedock for Enterprise to come about in her own length on docking thrust and come bow first, this backing nonsense out was only done because the spfx of the time was so limited. what would be great is to show her turning as soon as theres room.
