Star Trek Beyond complete press conference with cast, writers and producers 

i kind of wish people would stop asking them about anton... it's horrifically sad of course, but i imagine it must be even worse to have to parade their grief around during this press tour when they've only just lost one of their friends. i have to commend them - i wouldn't be able to do it with that much poise, but it must be uncomfortable

It feels incomplete without Anton. RIP.

It's still really hard to watch this without Anton. His death really emotionally stunted me, and it's so hard. I can't imagine what it's like for the cast to have to be reminded of him at every interview. They lost their family, stop asking them about him.

Hearing about Anton makes me tear up and it must be a million times harder to talk about it in public. This hurts me and it must hurt them a million times.

I still tear up when ever I see Anton. His death and Lenorad Nimoy was the hardest for me

I quite like the fact that actors nowadays speak about HOW they work and WHY they did this and that in that particular scene and so forth much more than they did in earlier Hollywood decades. To me, learning about this sort of thing is really interesting!

As I've said in a previous post, I was about to give up on Star Trek because JJ ruined the first movies, bringing Justin Lin and Simon in on this one brought me back. Beyond is awesome. And Jayla was awesome too.

Still can't believe Anton and Nimoy are gone

At 19:51 when Anton is mentioned, the cast think almost identical for a moment. You can see it in there body language. Look at Zoë Saldaña, who played Uhura. You can see her heart is in her throat, and she tries to hold back tears. I feel so so very sorry for all of Antons folks. I know this post is years later but still. I don't know when this conference was done, but this video was released on July 18, 2016. Seen in the description. Poor Anton was killed by his car on June 19, 2016. So they were still mourning their friend when they were asked that disconnected question. Let them sell the film, the film only, that's what they are there for. The speaker who asked that question was emotionally inconsiderate. Pain was raw there, you can see them fighting off emotions and trying to have a good laugh in order to get their minds more grounded. ⭐Don't try to parade their pain.⭐ Purest melancholy. Even though I never met him; nothing but respect. ~Rest In Peace~ Anton Forever 💐 ♾

Scott fucking Mantz. Love this guy's energy and mindset of not giving a shit about what people think of him despite everyone taking the piss at him for referencing geeky details and etc. I hope to see more of him in press conferences whether its for star trek or other films, he's great.

I think the movie was amazing and I hope that a new movie is made soon and includes J La. I think Star Trek could use more women and I am very glad that the women in the show had their rank showing. I think the cast is wonderful and hope to see more great Star Trek movies!!!!

The fact that George Takei was offended and said he DID NOT PLAY Sulu as "gay" actually plays right into how easy and nonchalant the whole thing plays out in Beyond. How DO YOU PLAY someone as "gay?" Quick answer is you don't. Gay people don't act any differently than non-gay people, George, so it's perfectly alright that you did not play him "as gay." End of discussion.

Just hearing Jar Jar Abrams say figure out a way too squeeze every great idea out, that shows me why his is not that great of a writer/director/producer. throwing in all the cool things does not make a good or great story movie it just makes it a mix match jumble of head scratching moments that ruins it as a whole, look at EVERY thing he has done and its all like that.
