Star Trek Continues Set Tour 

What happened?

He’s done more than a few of these, but he was especially animated for the morning tour. He liked having an enthusiastic group. Lots of first timers.

Nah, they finished years ago. But the sets remain for other fan films!

I recognize you from your video! I was the only geek to show up in costume in the gold command tunic and black pants. My brother took about an hour of video but I just shot about 10 minutes. That was my 3rd time visiting the sets since 2018, but my first guided tour.

The sets used for Cawley’s show are in upstate New York and are the official Paramount set tour. The sets for Star Trek Continues are in a small town in southern Georgia. They have monthly tours until the weather gets too hot (no AC).

They’re having tours every month now through winter.

It’s weird standing between the captain’s chair, communication station and the turbolift doors where so much of TOS took place. It’s really a tiny space.

@@ricardioscarbonara102 I removed your other comment because it is inaccurate. The vaccines prevented much suffering and death when Delta rolled through the Southeast last summer. The local hospitals were over capacity with people under 60 who hadn’t been vaccinated. A friend was hospitalized a month - under age 50. A friend of a friend in his 30s died.

This was a little over a year ago. Vaccines had been available to everyone since March 2021 so anyone who cared to could have been at least 4 to 6 weeks out from their second dose. It was the first open house I had been to since the pandemic began and transmission rates in Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia were very low. It looked like the pandemic was pretty much over. This was before Delta made its way to this area in July 2021. So looking back it may look odd, but at the time with fresh immunity from a 2nd vaccine it seemed very safe to finally be with people again.

It was my 3rd time there so I’ve experienced it plenty. And the tour was about 2 hours. The video is just a portion. I loved seeing the reactions of the first-timers as much as Vic. Vic is single I think, so good luck 😉
