“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.”Ephesians 2:8-9“for ‘everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.’” Romans 10:13
Kirk: I want you to know why I couldn't let you die.....why I came back for you. Spock: Because you are my friend. THAT MADE ME CRY, SUCH AN AMAZING MOVIE!!!!

The voices of haters seems so loud when in regards to this movie that it makes one wonder: where are all of you to argue them down? Well, maybe the answer is: you know true art and have such a good sense about what matters that to debate with people like that isn't worth it. Listening to this music makes one realize that within himself.
I like the new Star Trek movies. The first one better than the second (which tries too hard to pay homage to The Wrath of Khan), but overall, they're both enjoyable, have likeable characters and great acting. In your face, Lucas.
I disliked because you're insulting another series. Granted, they're both the best at their work, but I don't think it's right to piss on another for being different, or whatever reason (Which I don't care to hear) you hurt it for. Period.
Wyatt Stone I did not insult Star Wars. Insults are meant to abuse, I'm simply gloating - and just to be clear, read it again: I said "Lucas", not Star Wars as a whole, in the context of rebooted franchises. And to make my point even clearer, look back at Star Wars the prequels, being visually stunning is the best it gets, but the writing, story, the acting are all...bruuuh... I DO like Star Wars for the vast universe and its lore, aliens...I went to the theater to watch the Force Awakens (and...directed by JJ Abrams), and was surprised to find my money worth. Besides, there's still more Star Trek and Star Wars movies to come, so I'll reserve my judgment.
Say what you want about this film, but I really think Star Trek Into Darkness was a well thought out movie with really good acting and call backs from the original series and movies of Star Trek
Michael sure titles his pieces weirdly. It's not just this soundtrack. You should see the soundtrack titles for Tomorrowland! There's one piece called Electric Dreams (during a scene with the android girl named Athena), which is a fun little homage to a classic book about a self-aware robot.
Germ Foxx I know of that one...that one is more of a "funny, haha, get it?!" title :) Other funny titles of his that I like include: 1.) "Tears of Joy" (Pixar's Inside Out). A play on words...usually tears of joy are happy tears..but the character Joy was crying sad tears. 2.) "Incredits" (Pixar's The Incredibles)... playing off of "end credits" LOL! 3.) "Pavane for a Dead Apatosaurus" (Jurassic World). A pavane is a style of dance...and there was no dancing in that scene! Michael Giacchino is an amazing composer...and he's also amazing at naming his compositions!
He's done some iconic soundtracks. Pirates of the Caribbean is great for instance. I just dont think he was the right fit for MOS. That being said these emotional type pieces are right in Giacchino's wheelhouse
