Finding this in 2022 is like finding a gem amongst the rubble. Life-long Star Trek fan here. You just made my day. Live long and prosper my friend... this year has been the shit.. We have lost not just the few... but the many... You have and always shall be my friend... Live long and proper.
20 ad breaks in 46 minutes. That’s out of control. The music was incredible, but it’s almost not worth watching when it gets interrupted every 2 minutes.
I've seen this complaint on RU-vid comments before. I have two RU-vid accounts, one that I watch videos on which has practically no commercial interruptions. And another one that I have a RU-vid channel on. Each one of these has an email and a Gmail. For some reason my first ever RU-vid account which automatically creates a channel that you could submit videos to if you wanted to , has no commercial interruptions while my RU-vid channel account has them . When I upload a video on my RU-vid channel and watch it sometimes there's a commercial and sometimes there isn't. Why this is. I don't know. Just passing along some information
These mega suites are giving me the push I need to finish work on my Master's thesis in the next week. I've already done some work for NASA in my career, and someday I truly hope to someday see what life is like away from the surface of this pale blue dot. I have no idea if that day will ever come. But if it does, I'm ripping these to bring along for the ride.
Sadly, I agree. It seems clumsy and ungraceful. If they streamlined the lower hull, gave it some curves and restructered the warp nacelles, I think it could work. However, it seems the fledgling series itself is in a lot of trouble. Nicholas Meyers may be brought in to start a secondary series as this first one seems almost doomed to be short lived.
Tyrannicus, I absolutely love how you tied in the ending of "First Contact" with the launching of the Enterprise Series. It all flowed so seamlessly from the beginning. I've listened to the compilation now for several months and I too agree with what you said about the music to this series being so memorable and spot on for this series. The music to me is one about the amazement and awesomeness of space, it's wonder about endless places to explore, about finding new hope. That music captures that mood at the beginning and then when the Zindi make their appearance, rightfully so, the music turns darker. At the end, it ends in noble triumph. I think you captured the very essence of that "Promise" with this suite. You nailed it, spot on. As a fan of your work, I could ask for no better tribute to "Enterprise" and that series. Very very well done with much appreciation for your hard work.
"For that one fraction of a second, you were open to options you had never considered. That is the exploration that awaits you. Not mapping stars or studying nebula, but charting the unknown possibilities of existence." - Q. Pd: Credits are really for Leonard. May he rest in peace.
"Space the final frontier. These are the Voyages of the starship Enterprise. It's continuing mission: to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations, to boldly go where no man has gone before."
The undiscovered country. Our future. The future of Star Trek. A new series is finally being written! The journey continues... The journey will always continue, because of fans like us and the dreamers of tomorrow. There are bold new worlds out there. Let's go exploring!
This is sending chills right through me. Absolutely epic. I'm lucky enough to have all of the soundtracks from the movies (including the reboot movies) and the 30th anniversary soundtrack. But they pale in comparison to the way all these mixes have been done. Nice job.
Your suites really make it so much better playing Star Trek Online. Really makes it feel like Star Trek even more so than the games soundtrack. The way you put them together as well is also supurb. Excellent job dude :D
I keep coming back to this suite and I think out of all the suites that you have pulled together, this is my favorite. I say this because it covers a lot of music from the Enterprise series. In particular, I enjoyed the section of Enterprise music from the episode "Dear Doctor".. That was a deceptively well written and well directed episode that covered the very beginnings of the prime directive and their struggle with it, finally understanding as Capt Archer states "Now I think I know how the Vulcan's must have felt when they landed on Earth". All in all, this really is my favorite suite and I to enjoy loading this up on my computer and listening to it whenever I'm working here at the table on something. I have it playing in the background. You know, it must be personally very gratifying to you to know that a lot of people enjoy your suites. As one of those people, Yes, I very much enjoy your work in pulling these suites together and I thank you for it.
Great job! Blending together music is an art you have mastered, and brings new life to the songs that I sometimes tire of listening to in "track shuffle" mode!
I am constantly listening to your suites!! Well done! I can't wait for more to come! (Voyager/DS9 I'm assuming?) Great work, and thanks for giving me something to listen to while I power through homework.
Glad you enjoy them! Thank you. Yes, DS9/VOY is coming - La La Land Records just announced the Voyager Soundtrack Collection coming at the end of the month, so that suite can finally be completed. Also Star Trek/Into Darkness/Beyond suite coming too.
Whenever I start to listen ST themes I starting with... oh this beautiful Voyager theme, but then Archer theme surpasses it, and then Deep Space Nine longing trumpet... and then I come to the conclusion that the best theme of Star Trek is Picard saying "Shut up Wesley".
52:53 "Up until about a hundred years ago, there was one question that burned in every human, that made us study the stars and dream of travelling to them, Are we alone? Our generation is privileged to know the answer to that question. We are all explorers, driven to know what's over the horizon, what's beyond our own shores. And yet, the more I've experienced, the more I've learned that no matter how far we travel, or how fast we get there, the most profound discoveries are not necessarily beyond that next star. They're within us, woven into the threads that bind us, all of us, to each other. The final frontier begins in this hall. Let's explore it together."
Does anyone else hear some nice notes of the DS9 theme in the section from Broken Bow starting at 5:09? I'm curious if there's a thematic connection to what happens at that point in the show. Perhaps it was McCarthy's way of giving a nod to another series before invoking the new theme for Enterprise.
Oh please don't make us wait a year for the Abramsverse suite, please? Just mix up a preliminary suite with what's available and post that for the time being, then you can make the Extended Cut of that, like you have done here. We'll forgive you for pulling a Lucas just this once... ;)
+King Tutajgamin (Mark Tutaj) If you mean the song that plays from about 15:00 until 17:11, that's "Doc's First Installment/Phlox Needs A Friend" from "Dear Doctor" - Disc 3 of the Star Trek: Enterprise Collection. If you mean the song right after that, it's "Never Better Sir" from "Horizon", same album and disc.
HI, I'm a newcomer here, so I was wondering with happened with Mega Suite 6, which is missing from the playlist. Some sort of copyright issue, I take...?
Thanks for checking out my videos! Actually, Suite 6 hasn't been completed; I'm still waiting on the release of more music from Star Trek: Voyager at this time.
God- breathed this composition into existence. But He SPOKE our universe into being out of nothing. Beyond Awesome! He is more than we could ever hope, dream, or fathom. Far beyond, so very far beyond. So far beyond we will never have even a glimpse UNTIL we look at Jesus His Son. Then, and only then, will we see what God is like, in human form like ourselves. And yet, fully God! We were made to know Him on a personal level, from the very beginning. That is His desire and passion. To have a relationship with you, one on One. And you will experience a love, His love, like you have never experienced before. His love is as vast as the farthest reaches of cosmic outer space and deeper than the deepest of the oceans and higher than the highest heights of heaven. And He wants you to know this love He has for you. Extremely personal, extremely intimate. Without end or variation. He is the greatest of all things in a billion galaxies and beyond. Just open your heart to Him. Now, today, right now is the right time to say 'yes'!
When I was young, I felt that anything was possible! We'd have huge space stations and a moon colony! What about a space elevator, or a huge catapult in the Himalayan Mountains? Terraform Venus? Let's do it! Maybe I'd be the first person on Mars! Maybe, just maybe, we aren't alone in the universe. Let's go find out! Who doesn't get excited thinking about that stuff? When I got older, I realized that the answer is plenty of people. There are just too many people out there who don't care. They'd rather exploit their fellow men and women for their own short term gain, the future be damned. It all seems rather hopeless at times. When I read the news, when I hear about what we're doing to each other and our planet, when I see that cruelty and selfishness in my everyday life, it can't help but depress me, and the bright eyed kid I used to be seems like a distant memory, impossibly out of reach. This music, though, stirs something inside of me. As if that little kid, asleep for so many years somewhere in the back of my mind, is slowly waking up and looking out at the world through my eyes once more. No, the world isn't hopeless! I refuse to believe it! It can be bright and hopeful, filled with wondrous possibility! This future is one that we can build, together! All it takes is a sparkle in your eye and the willingness to believe in it.
I love thinking about the things that may exist in the universe, and I have always hoped for the possibility of being able to go out and explore. To me, it is amazing how small we are on Earth, and how small Earth is compared to the vastness of space.
Well even according to Star Trek cannon most of the 21st Century is not a happy time with World War III, a nuclear war, it is not until after the Vulcans make first contact in 2063 that things turn around.
I am Korean. I have never lived in the United States. But I like Star Trek very much. I'm a huge fan. I love Star Trek. I love you, I love you. So I chose this music as a masterpiece that I would listen to thousands of times. It is my pleasure to do my daily work with this music on. Thank you to everyone who made this music.
Besides the ads, Tyrannicus has done a superb job of arranging all the star trek music together. I enjoy it every day at work ,home ,and play. Even the little ones are taking a liking to it. Thank you. Timmy Time
Almost all futuristic films and shows portray a dystopia based on exaggerations or augmentations of present day social problems. Original Star Trek and TNG gave hope and inspired kids to become scientists, philosophers and leaders. We need that Trek back again.
And, I love you picture...the NX-01 off on another adventure to seek out new life and new civilization. The crew under Archer truly did go where no man had gone before. Thank you once again. I am turning 60 this year so I have watched Star Trek from the start. I've seen it all and Enterprise was my favorite.
The creators of ENTERPRISE wanted to do a story of Starfleets 'Chuck Yeagers' and 'Neil Armstrongs'. To do a story BEFORE a FEDERATION was even conceived. To begin the story when there was no Prime Directive, when transporter beaming was in its infancy, when starships didn't even have shields or phasers. I loved this series for this (and other) reasons. It made everything new and fresh again with TREK. I have loved this franchise so much that I even wrote my own story based on the next saga, TREK after Picard's time (100 yrs beyond the ENTERPRISE-E).
All I can say is OUTSTANDING! I am a huge Enterprise fan. I didn't give it a chance until years after it was cancelled. And man what a mistake! It became my favorite Trek of all the series! Thank you for doing this!!!
@IL2fped - me too - the hokey theme tune put me off - lol!!! But I am currently rewatching for the umpteenth time. Not my favourite (that has to be Voyager), but still great. The writing just gets better as it goes on.
Star Trek to me isn’t just a show. It’s Hope of what we can be one day. A future I hope we can achieve. To go beyond the stars and become more than what we are. All I can hope for in my life is just to see the beginning of it all. And when I see it. I know humanity the best qualities of it will live on.
57:00 I always loved that incorporation of the theme of the movie there in this suite. I know your original description mainly talked about the early days of Starfleet and the Kelvin, but I always hear it, and just cannot help but feel it is a foreshadowing of what is to come in the future, from the destruction of Romulus, to the creation of a parallel timeline, to perhaps even a gaze into what the 25th century itself might hold for the future of Starfleet or the Enterprise... You do marvels with the music of this franchise. I hope you don't stop.
Brilliant music.. but what the HELL is with all the ads!!??! I stopped the music because of all the interruptions. The advertising is ridiculously out of control!
Is there any way to access this amazing work on Apple Music or iTunes? I don't/won't pay for RU-vid Music, but I'd love to be able to listen to this in the car
These suites have become my default background when playing Attack Wing or reading anything Trek related. You do great work on mixing and selection. Keep up the good work. LLAP
+David McMahon Cool, and thanks. I haven't actually played the Attack Wing game myself, but I do own several of the models because I used to collect Star Trek Micro Machines and I've found that they are a great addition to that collection with many ships fitting that size perfectly.
+Tyrannicus Recently became hooked on it myself and now I need to own everything. Also is there any chance we could get a download link for each suite? These would be great for long trips (funnily enough) and playing it through RU-vid would gobble all my data in no time.
David McMahon I can't provide links because of copyright reasons, as that's likely to get the videos taken down, however I'd recommend going to a site like clipconverter.cc and converting the link to whatever audio format you prefer.
+Mark Bernero Actually I left it off because I'm considering another themed suite, this time around things like alternate universes and time travel. I'll certainly feature the IAMD theme prominently in that, if I go forward with it. ;)
The light and darkness of mankind expressed in some of the most beautiful music of a nature which seldom touches the heart so forcefully but instead slaps you across the face to wake you up to not just what is but what could be if only we are to remain young at heart and young in mind.
Activating Neil DeGrasse Tyson mode... The photo (lovely as it is) shows that this is Earth (we can see lake Michigan on the left), therefore the sun is in the wrong place. Also, the Moon is far too close to Earth. Although perhaps in this future the moon has been knocked out of orbit and has disrupted Earth's path? Haha, just some some. Love the music of Star Trek
These are awesome to keep the work day going. I only wish you had the episodes / movies that these tracks are from on the video like how you have it on your newest release. Thanks all the same though!
Oops, I thought I did! Looks like I forgot to finish the time stamps. Thanks for the reminder. I'll fix that as soon as I have a chance to look back at my original Mixcraft project.
Just do a google search for 'youtube to mp3 converter,' put in this video's URL, choose high quality if it's an option, and it will download. Then repeat for all the videos you want as MP3s. Then you just use software like iTunes to burn the MP3s to a CD from your computer.
I am one of your big fans, Ty! Just wanted you to know how much I love all your Star Trek Suite postings. You're fantastic at editing and mixing all these pieces. I listen to them almost exclusively throughout the week on my big system. So many thanks and looking forward to more of your talents.
57:43 - Captain Picard: "Space, the final frontier. These are the voyages of the Starship Enterprise. Its continuing mission..." 57:55 - Captain Kirk: "...to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations..." 58:03 - Captain Archer: "To boldly go where no man has gone before."
The entire video made for a wonderful listen but then the end really brought it all together and brought a smile. You did a beautiful job with this suite.
The NX-01 theme ["Broken Bow" theme] is perhaps the best orchestral piece in Trek history [other than the Constellation Theme] - at least until you get to that lame section that incorporates heavy drum and electric guitar.
