Star Trek: TNG Review - 6x6 True Q | Reverse Angle 

Q turning a pontificating Beverly into a barking Irish setter is possibly the funniest moment in the whole series. Lol

As a kid, I always wanted to go to a Star Trek convention and cosplay as Amanda. I was small and slight like her. Now, the only character I could cosplay as would be that four-armed piano player from the bar in Unification.

In the Review For the episode Schisms You made a Comet about never seeing the woman siting next to Picard in ten forward before, But that episode was her 29th appearance of 63 she would make in TNG. The Character's name was Lt. JG. Jae She was played By Tracey Lee Coco Who would Show up in Operations Gold and Command Red on the Bridge, In engineering as an Engineer and as a Transporter Chief. In addition to her 63 appearances in TND Miss Coco would show up in in other Rolls in 3 of the 4 Tng Movies, 1 episode Of DS9, 5 Episodes of Voyager and In the Videogame Star trek Borg. Her First Episode was the season 4 Episode Reunion.

Troi was gonna be the counselor, but she sensed something in someone so she spent the rest of the episode sulking in her quarters and not doing the personnel evaluations.

...and when Q had the baby with Female Q later in Voyager, these events seem to have been completely forgotten by the Continuum

Olivia d'Abo was also Detective Gorens nemesis in L&O Criminal Intent.

I love all the Q episodes in TNG, the only thing with this one, was there a reason they couldnt just Strip Amanda, of her Q-ness I mean, the continuum did it to Q before, and he picked human to be protected by the enterprise, so doing this to Amanda would of being fine,

This is one of my favorite TNG episodes.

I'm using this to create a list to help my kids know what episodes they need to watch to get enough to know the lore and characters without wasting too much time on episodes that go nowhere. This series saves me from watching 178 episodes that I've already seen, but don't always remember. Even though I don't always agree with the analysis, there is enough here for me to remember the key points about the episode.

This felt like the basic concept of Hide and Q but done competently

I laughed when Riker was cringing as the alien guy was wheezing and trying to breath.

I am giving it a B+, which is slightly higher than Robert and Nick. I do have a few things to state about this episode: 1. Why did they tell Amanda that she couldn't leave the puppies on board. By the time this episode came around, Data had his cat Spot on the ship and it was implied that other people had their own pets. If this could happen, why could Amanda not have puppies in her quarters? 2. Q asks Picard what humans find so fascinating about children. Much to my surprise, we find out in Star Trek: Voyager that Q has a son, so I am questioning why Q would ask this question to Picard. 3. Between the time Beverly realizes that they have to do the experiment over again and the time she and Deanna pick Amanda up for dinner, there is no apology by Amanda or any mention of the experiment. It is almost as if Beverly figured, "the hell with the experiment". Still, I liked the episode slightly more than Robert and Nick.

1:41 I imagine it would be down to energy usage kind of like in one of the parallel timelines when there was warfare and they had more simplistic lighting and rations to save energy from the food replicators because more complex meals/matter use more energy

The reason the rooms could be so big is because the Enterprise D is massive compared to how many crew it has on it. You can find a video on RU-vid showing just how much room the whole crew takes up in comparison to the size of the ship.

Good review. I also question why I watch these shows, dang it, stop that...I don't want to think that much. Lol! For some reason I wasn't as big on this episode but would give it a C/C+. It's better than most of the others, agree on that, but only on the very slightest of margins. The Riker romance thing seemed too quick and non-believable. The "flatness" of her character at times was almost intolerable.

What if she gets into an argument, says “everyone stop hounding me!” and the entire Enterprise crew turns into dogs? While it would be very cute, it’s _probably_ not a practical way to run a city sized starship.

What if she says "you don't have to be such a dick", and then...

i know it must be tiring at this point to hear people say "you should do this show", but i'd love to see this style of "review/recap" for The Prisoner (1967). it's a short series, 17 episodes, and it's... well, it's really something else. in the meantime, i'll just enjoy the TNG stuff and get occasionally mad (but not really) at your opinions. cheers!
