Tip No.11: You can open your storage boxes and see the content when in the shop buy/sell screen. No need to dump what you wanna sell into the airlock 🤘 Edit: select said storage box and look for the button prompt at the bottom (be careful not to click sell 🤣)
Mate that box trick to stop them flying around in zero-G is gonna save me from soooooo many headaches. I also had noticed the rate of usage on the power cells before but it never occurred to me to actually check them when I turn stuff on & off lol your vid has definitely helped me with some serious cost saving measures.
Cells with little power left offer decent extra money when you return them compared to ones with zero power. The extra money is worth about 10 units of power.
From what I've seen it's even the whole way down. And from my experience if I can survive long enough to get one more trip before befitting it's worth the couple hundred.
Yeah, you are correct, but I think it's more about being deliberate in your actions and use of power and only engaging what systems you are currently using. If you're doing that, you will end up being successful. Most people struggling just need to change their thought process about how they are going about it.
Tip: if you are running low on power cells. Go hook your truck to a maglock (except the trailer), that is going to give you power from the station. You can charge your suit and not worry about power
One little tip. The fewer air filters you have, the faster they deteriorate, _and_ the more power your oxygen generator pulls, so you want to use as many air filters as you can fit into the cab(when you start, you have two working and a spare just lying out on the bench across from the bed)
I was really disappointed too, others said that backing up to it with a traielr would be a night mare ... id think youd backup ... somehow ... then go outside a,d use somekind of a winch to pull second - 3rd trailer to range and --- somehow --- manualy attach more trailers ... is how i wish it would work - getting outside .. and doing the work.
Not going crazy on the main story is a huge one. I hit a death loop by just doing story mission until I ran out of resources. It’ll probably take me two hours of doing generic missions to stock back up before I can continue with the story.
Great video and tips! Especially compare to other tips videos that take info from the user manual. It would be nice too see more content (tips/guides) that are "outside the truck". For example: how to find a black market, maybe some docking tips and general driving advices, systems where beacons with salvage are easier to find, etc.
You can find a black market by looking on the legend where it shows what is in a specific sector, there's a red circle with a skull and crossbones. Then just look around for buildings out of the way and not marked by a beacon. They turn off the beacon to stay hidden from the div.
Love it! Thanks so much! The only thing I struggle with is knowing where in the sector the shops and stuff are. I have been going to a location in a sector (named white dot) and then writing down what is there (e.g. shop, repair, etc). Then going to the next one and doing it until the sector is mapped out. Is there an easier way?
You Can save a lot of fuel when going straight by disactivating the right and left thrusters. Be careful though the ship cannot be steered in this situation.
@@Boon-N-BrosI’d say its far more applicable to turn off driver assist when flying in a straight line then letting off throttle. You won’t have your thruster’s fighting you in reverse, allowing you to coast while still having the ability to hit the brakes.
I have tips for you: 1st you can almost fully block out cargo by using stairs when you dont have gravity 2nd you can right mouse button click on container when in shop and sell something straight out of anywhere, for example from crate. No need to move it into the airlock at all. 3rd be carefull with types of contract. Some timed ones can be pain in da ass. Either you are to soon or then too late when you jump trough gate, so you can end up waiting in real time long minutes.
@@Mello_S42 You can just jump trough the gate and back to the system. When you look at the map, you can see how much time the trip via gate will take. No worries to do it "late" as the penalty is not high from my experience
"Oh NoEs, tHe gaEM iS HaRD!!". My man showed all those noobs in the Steam reviews who are whining, how to properly play the game in 6 minutes 😂. Gj man!
If you don't wanna play a "Battery Changer Simulator" on normal mode, just make a custom game and tweak power consumption and consumables down to low, everything else can stay exactly the same. This is what I've done and the game is much more enjoyable now. Also having FOV all the way up to 80 might be a bad idea, as is a lot harder to spot debris.
That's also an option. I like to try and tackle problems and come up with solutions before i change settings. As for the FOV, I use the 'Z' button to look for debris and still get my wider view for cross traffic. ill gladly hit a debris over another driver haha
What I do is run 4, it's definitely better. Than alternate them on replacement so when you are replacing 2 at 0% the other 2 are at 50%. That way you still always have 2 over 50% and you'll stay good
On the Air Filter screen, it'll show how much O2 you have and how much you are producing vs consuming. When you are consuming more than you are producing, it's time to think about switching out your worse filters, and you have until your O2 runs out to do it. Also do NOT use the Air Brakes unless absolutely necessary as it uses the O2.
