🚀Flight Crew Question: "What was your favorite Star Wars Collectible we all found today?" (Bonus: "What was your favorite non Star Wars Antique we found?")
As beat up as it was, I dug the Y-Wing. That Grogu/gremlin mashup was truly cursed. Bonus: that wooden radio was beautiful. I have an old Bakelite radio that I rewired up as a bluetooth speaker. Style and function!
Oxymoron, 'What's new in the Antique Store?' Made me smile every time you said. A wifi speaker inside the radio would make it usable again. Love the show guys
Hi Ashley and Brian, I love the oversized turquoise chairs. I mainly loved the Snow white collection. I've never seen before. Loved the first Lea character, and star wars was the Malificent Dragon mug. That was a cool piece. We love antique shopping for sure. Me n my husband go to the Trove outside of Sacramento. Over 1000+ dealers. A whole slough of antique malls in the Sacramento area and antique furniture too! Love this vlog. Oh love that hat.
thanks for letting us know! sometimes I feel like im just rambling in our episodes, but that fact I was always amazed by as a kid when I finally realized.
I rewatched The Land Before Time with my nephew a few years ago, and I had to sit away from him so he couldn’t see me sobbing. But it’s still a beautiful film.
Omg that revenge of the sith line at 15:20 is what I grew up with I had every single figure. Thank you both of you for bringing back special memories I had forgotten!
Oh man, that Stormtrooper Micro Machines Set at 32:35 is wonderful! That was my connection to the movies as a kid, and I’ve been trying to hunt one down at conventions since. Love watching these Star Wars hunts - thanks for sharing!
Insofar as the old radio goes, there is inevitably one of the radio collectors in your area who could restore the insides back to working condition. You might only get AM on that piece, but they are SO cool. I have an old farm radio from 1939 waiting for restoration.
I found a similar antique RCA radio a few years ago and gutted it + installed a Bluetooth speaker in it so now it looks good but also can function if I need it to. Highly recommend!
My favorite thing was when you were looking in the vintage case. It wasn't mentioned but could see plain as day. The Star Destroyer/Executor Bridge playset. Had that as a kid... Just turned 50 this past Wednesday. I grew up with the original Star Wars toys of the '70s/80s, Lost interest when another Trilogy came out...Highlander. No, really it was Indiana Jones. Bounced between Star Wars/Indiana Jones every year a new movie came out. I can understand why those toys don't have the same meaning to you. You love what you grew up with... Love these videos when you go through the antique shops/Resale shops. You never know what you're going to find. Makes you feel like you're going on an Indiana Jones adventure...
Thanks to you guys my mom is taking me to a thrift store soon to look for clothes for the galactic starcruiser and galaxies edge (this year). I had been looking online but could only find a few things (from your online shop 😊). Love your content and the way you inspire me and others!
You can always gut the radio and put a bluetooth speaker in it. Get the output to come out from the same spot. I was planning to do something like that with one but never did.
I still have so many of the 90s figures on card that I collected plus all of my original vintage toys from when I was a kid. Going to be going through it all soon and looking forward to that trip down memory lane.
This antique shop looks so cool! I have to visit it if I'll ever be in California! Especially all the vintage star wars stuff, I'd love to have this young Anakin figure that you bought and the Revenge of the sith mug! But if I'll ever be there I will for sure avoid those dolls, they were so scary 😂
Went there today after watching your video! That place is amazing! Loved all the antiques stuff there. Lowkey wanted the vintage Boba Fett figure. Found the life size jar jar as well as the goo Jabba the hut! That store is way smaller than what your video portrayed hahah
I had to look that up when you said Keira Knightley was in Star Wars for I had no idea and now I'm just 🤯 SHOCKED and funny thing was I just rewatched the prequels last month lol
If you two ever visit Galveston, Texas be sure to visit the " Peanut Butter Warehouse ". It is an old warehouse converted into a big Antiques place like this Barn.
Have you two ever considered making a discord server for your channel? It would be a cool way to engage in the community, and in my experience helps fans become friends with eachother 👀
yes we are going to get one established officially. We have many things we are working on. Happy you are here and want to engage with everyone else more too!
my parents refused to buy me an American Girl doll when I was little and I saved for /months/ for Molly. I did low key cry every time you passed a Padme figure. If I wasn't in Ohio I'd be out there in a second to snatch them all up
Thanks a lot, now I have to go watch Phantom of the Opera, lol. If you are going to go, going to go out happy. Thats the way I want to go out. YES, I remember those Taco Bell and Pizza Hut toys. Spent so much time hunting them down. I still have mine.
Taco Bell toys I remember not sure about Pizza Hut though I did get my face painted as darth maul for a party once there. My mom never took a photo lol rip for looking like a devil.
Those giant vintage action figures I got some from my dad I have both Boba Fett and Chewbacca. My uncle has Han Solo and Luke. I took them to my Comic book shop and they said that they were in really good condition and could’ve sold for upwards of 50 or so dollars. But I keep them for the nostalgia.
I also was irrationally excited by the fact that the jawas eyes could light up without any kind of lightbulb or battery. It felt like I was cheating the universe to have a "light up" toy without batteries.
I'm still surprised there was a reek from Attack Of The Clones! I remember seeing that in Walmart as a kid and getting the nexu instead. Definitely a favorite. Bonus: The 101 Dalmatian figurines were adorable. My Nana has a few. ❤️
Okay yes I also was weirded out by Return to Oz and still am to this day it was so strange and feels like it was made by a madman, and yes those SW E1 toys from Taco Bell I remember quite well and had I think two of them
Was it air conditioned? We tried the Pomona shops a couple weeks ago and I nearly had a stroke. It was like 100 degrees with zero air movement. It was brutal...
I have all my star wars toys from the 70s and 80s. I have all kinds of star wars action figures and things. I have a few action figures signed by the actors.
@@AlwaysBelieve Omg that's hard. I'm going with my Princess Lea doll. She has on the dress from the end of A new hope. I love her hair in that part of the movie.
