FYI, Aspyr has patched the game on Switch, which has added the missing cutscenes back in and dedicated servers, providing FPS upwards of 60 in Multiplayer Matches
The games were never about the online , but offline, this collection is great and well worth 35 bucks for the rented digital version, and I'll gladly buy for 60 plus bucks if get physical release, only the idiots that are modern bot gamers seem to not understand, and yes by definition it's a remastered cause all the asset graphic wise has been upscaled, exactly the only thing tales of syphonia remaster did fir ps5 and switch and Xbox, it's remastered port for the 2004 qmand 2005 games in this collection, it's just not being promoted as so like tales of Symphonia remastered was, and this collection was never about online, and still aren't true gamers like me understand this, and find this collection great and enjoy playing with the better graphics, ea battlefront games aren't battlefront, and are a huge middle finger to the franchise
They already did a post launch patch that fixed up a lot of the issues. I recommend looking up the details, cause they actually fixed a lot. Might be worth looking into
Thanks for the review! It’s a bit of a shame that this port was received so poorly, as I actually worked on it in a small capacity as a translator. This and Pentiment are the first two games released on Switch where I am a credited translator, actually :)
Congrats on the translation work. That's awesome. I've really enjoyed these ports and the small updates they've done for the games. Plus, the post launch patch sounds good, though I haven't checked if my switch copy got it yet. Been playing DBZ Kakarot most nights since hearing about Akira Toriyama's passing, and I had a rough time with my first Galactic Conquest run, lol. The auto turrets were being a bit too player agro unfriendly, though I did figure out a work around eventually
The Switch did get the patch. I have not done a whole lot with it, but I have noticed that the Mission Outro Cutscenes seem to be back, and the Multiplayer Sessions I have done thus far (including Mustafar Hero Assault) seem to be much smoother upward of 60fps.
