Family Video is awesome. I live in the Chicagoland area and I always go there. It's crazy to think that Family Video is actually just as old as Blockbuster is/was. They started at the same time.
04navi I’m not an EA fan at all. I refused to buy the first and I refuse to buy games like Madden. But I got BF2 a few days ago on sale for $7. And honestly it’s pretty incredible! I was stunned how much I enjoyed it. Not so much the story mode tho lol
Robert Hines yeah the story mode is pretty bad 😂. I’m glad you could pick the game up. I’ve played since release and was here for the high and low and I do!5 think anyone can complain at its current state. Wish Chris would try again because it is indeed validated
I just got into it about a week ago and it seems like the only thing wrong with it is the slow loading cut scenes during games? I’m not up to date on patch problems but they aren’t a big enough deal for me to see them

Jay Bray The game has significantly more content now, including additions to arcade, instant action and new campaign. Also, EA has incorporated all prior DLC into the Celebration Edition, including character skins and buffs, and done away with micro transactions. I personally think you’re getting your money’s worth at this point.
battlefront one was really good by the end with all the new content and everything added into the game and now battlefront two changed a lot since its launch and the game is amazing now
Chris! The darth mail glitch that happened to you wasn’t actually a glitch! Rey used her Jedi mind trick on you, which reverses your controls! You were trying to go to the right, but under its effects, you fell to the left!
This guy trashed an awesome game using outdated info, and having barely played it. Crap review. His other stuff is witty, but this one looked phoned-in.
I know. I really hate when people knock a game so confidently but it's their own fault. Also he acts like microtransactions are still in the game...just an overall ignorant review in general.
Ah Chris, when you were playing as Darth Maul in Heroes vs. Villains that wasn’t a glitch. Rey has an ability that’s called “Jedi mind trick” which when used against an opponent switches their controls to reverse. So if you move right while under the effect of Jedi mind trick, you will move left. There’s a loud buzz that reminds me of headaches that notifies you that you are under the influence of Jedi mind trick. Plus, the villain or trooper you play as will have some kind of animation with their left arm or head which also notifies you. It’s a very annoying ability however in time you can get used to it.
I love your content, Chris. Definitely in my top 5 reviewers for games and my favorite reviewer for films. Thank you for your candid honesty and hitting the pros and cons from both angles.
"If you pay enough" Mate they turned off the micro-transactions before launch that is a physically impossible claim to make saying that the game is now pay to win!

BTW: 6/10 is being generous, in my opinion. 4/10 seems better to me. 2/10 when you take all the micro-transactions that EA plastered on to this "game".
EA used to be great at videogames, they made many great games in the past as a developer. They became the worst when they moved to be publisher only, the first franchise they ruined was C&C and it went downhill from there.
I'm annoyed with the whole "pay to win" complaint, I mean IT'S GONE. Forever. I want someone to show me a good Triple AAA title with no microtransactions
You should do a second review in 2019. They’ve added so much. Geonosis, A Conquest (like) Mode, Singleplayer PvE is coming soon, Felucia is arriving, Anakin Skywalker, Count Dooku, General Grievous, and Obi Wan Kenobi are in the game. While glitches have stormed the game, DICE is fixing it and adding more Singleplayer content, so if you’re hoping for that stuff like me (Singleplayer stuff), then you’ll definitely get that soon.

The reason why you died as Darth Maul on Kashyyyk was because Rey used one of her abilities to where it inverts enemy players' controls. You were trying to go right, but instead went left due to Rey's confusion ability and died.
Hey dumbass explain this. You're playing a game in space with laser swords. Plus maul isn't even alive when rey is. Why are you complaining about realism?
It's so frustrating, because DICE and EA have all the ingredients to make a great Star Wars game, yet the way they approach making these games prohibits them from ending up with something better than a, to be fair, visually stunning but gameplay wise very dull game.
TheRealBeatMaster Gameplay is amazing but EA attempted to screw it up and all the pay to win controversy severely hurt what is actually a good game. Chris is a good movie reviewer but frankly doesn’t know what he’s talking about in games. Give this game about half a year to clean up EA’s mess and it will be 9/10 or even 10/10.
Please don't hate the developers for following orders. The production value is just INSANE on this game. You really feel like you're on a shooting gallery in a Star Wars set. But that's just it: It's just a shooting gallery between the real nitty gritty which is the loot box system, which is a fancy way of saying: gambling. That's where the real game is. And that's where EA projected their profits. Say what you will about them, but they know how to make money. At least we have the solace that it all blew up on EA's face. Consumers are getting angry, bills are getting passed, and Disney is probably getting a second opinion about who should they hire for their next Star Wars game. EA had better get into the gambling business already, like Konami, and start making slot machines. That's more in line with their core business model.
Hey, just a friendly correction, when you were playing as Darth Maul, you actually became effected by Rey’s “Mind Trick” ability which reverses your controls and so when you moved right you actually went left, off the edge.
Yeah, I'm right there with ya Chris. I wouldn't buyit. I'd rent it and return it and never think of the... game ever again. They should have never rebooted it they should have kept what was already in Battlefront 3. And finished it with a few tweaks. Then they should have actually tried to improve upon it with Battlefront 4.
I miss the Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy games, those were amazing. Sure they've aged a bit since release, but I can still go back and play through all of them while being completely invested, something I don't feel at all for any of the new Star Wars games.
mrsmokingskittles14 Galaxies was absolutely phenomenal and I'm so so sad that it doesn't exist anymore. It had so much potential to rise to the level of something like WoW, but alas it was cut short. Sure we have The Old Republic, but it's just not the same.

That part was actually good and how he interacts with the bad guy (forgot his name, it tells how forgettable the story is). There's also a novel called Inferno Squad that gives more background to the characters, but... is it gonna help? The story is boring as hell and they promised a story focused from the Empire point of view. Of course, they lied.
The pressing left thing is actually rey that does a jedi mind trick, so i dont know how much you played lol, so that for,once wast ea fault but rey that made you do that

Millennial Movies That sounds really dumb. Who in there right mind would think Rey could possibly mind trick Darth Maul? They should have made him and other force users immune.
I play tons of video games, so yeah, the go from point A to point B it's terrible. But, games like Dead Space or Super Mario Bros, you never know what's gonna happen and you do care about your character and the things you gonna achive, like beating a very hard level that's entertaining and enjoyable. Video Games are to have fun. I look at Battlefield 4 and Battlefield 1, i didn't have fun. I think Battlefield 3 was fantastic and that Bad Company 2 was amazing. Anyway. I'm curious. What was it that you didn't like about Battlefield 1? I haven't played any of the Battlefield games other than 1942 and Bad Company 2, so I'm not up-to-speed with the franchise. However, I bought Battlefield 1 and I really enjoy it. Do you not like because it doesn't play like the rest of the franchise? Sorry for bugging you. It's just that some of my friends said they didn't like it either.
That Weird Guy You Know It's too casual there is no recoil on the guns and all the guns feel the same it's too easy that it gets boring there is no learning curve
That Weird Guy You Know battlefield 1 is the best game in the franchise when it comes to the sheer size and terror of war however, it’s inherently less of a skill based game because of the nature of ww1 weaponry and vehicles that can be destroyed by virtually any weapon but pistols. No micro transactions is great for a new AAA title too

The story was garbage and highly predictable. SPOILER ALERT: I absolutely hated it when Iden went to the Rebel side. The whole thing can be seen from a mile away. Why can't they make a FULL story from a villain's persepective? Such a missed opportunity there.
Dude that sucks? Who was in charge of the story? The freaking prequel book established that she hated the Rebel and wanted them dead!! Freaking what a betrayal to her character.

i think maybe tbh could you maybe do re-review for the multiplayer when all the content is finished they've already added anakin and obi wan plus that new conquest-esk game mode is coming up just to be safe i'd say maybe late 2019 or 2020...lol
When maul walked off the map it was because Rey used the mind ability on you where your controls are reversed. Even if she dies the ability still lasts on whoever she used it on for a few seconds
yeah sadly companies arent in the business of making good long lasting experiences anymore. its like they evolved then regressed back to the quarter muncher days. they are just there to squeeze as many quarters out of your pockets through DLC and micro-transactions.
