At 7:46 Paldora says that stormtroopers only land 77% of blaster shots, but that must be either an oversight or a misunderstanding of statistics because 77% is insanely good accuracy in field engagements. For comparison, police only hit the target 30% of the time when in the field, which make sense because of all the variables of field engagements, and in the military, they don’t really track field accuracy statistics because unless we’re talking about snipers, most shootouts would have only .001% of shots hitting the target. He could also be talking about accuracy in the shooting range, which makes more sense for obvious reasons, but it’s 50/50 of what he’s referring to because even though the context of him quoting the statistic is while Han is in a field engagement, he could be referring to shooting range accuracy because of many different reasons like availability of information (this is unlikely because paldora is a statistician and would be entrusted to all kinds of information the Empire has, and he must be high ranking because he has access to the kashyyyk information, which is rare because this was the only guy Han could get the information from), or maybe the empire doesn’t determine field accuracy, or maybe paldora overlooked field accuracy and shooting range accuracy because of his energetic attitude, (an attitude of which can cause people to make mistakes when looking into finer details because of jumpiness) but Paldora might be acting like this because he is drunk or high off of whatever is in Marazane gold, and when he’s sober, he is a regular person when looking at statistics, making this oversight less possible.
