Awh, shit, we're at the end already? I imagined / hoped there was so much more to Plagueis' journey, he's by far the most interesting EU character, and as much as I like Palpatine in and of himself, it's a shame they couldn't break the rule of two and truly conquer the galaxy as immortal Siths. Plagueis is unique among the Sith in his insight as well as his ambitions, a true visionary for dark conquest. Oh well, back to writing the sequel (73k words so far) to my own debut fantasy novel of some 216,000 words I'm pitching to literary agents right now. Great work and voice acting, see you on the other side!
The Star Wars fans owe you a debt of gratitude good sir. You are an artist and a master of your craft. Thank you for all these 14 videos, for your incredible voice acting, and the good vibes of your commentary before and after the performance. May the force be with you 🫡
Great! Such a shame that this is already the finale. I found your channel searching for Darth Plagueis and I love your audio books! Finished Allegiance, next will be Death Troopers and Red Harvest. I really appreciate your work. Thank you!
I started with Death Troopers, then went to Red Harvest. Both are definitely amazing reads, moreso from this guy. He adds an extra level to the tellings with his different audio effects and recreated accents. I loved every second of both.
It’s funny to hear Sidious reprimand Maul for revealing too much about himself and the Sith. Considering he did not say a single word to the two Jedi he fought on Naboo. I didn’t know he was a regular chatterbox.
It’s Thanksgiving here in the US and I’m currently hiding from my extended family. It’s a tradition. Just seeing this video posted made my weekend. I hope you know that I, like many others, have read this novel many times and still I hang on every installment. Thank you.
I agree that this story makes for a good book/read and also enjoyed the more Plageuis "heavy" parts. In addition to more narrative from the time when he was still the apprentice but I also feel they could have extended his story beyond his assassination. I imagine you are familiar with the prequel theory of Darth Jar Jar...if not it is worth a Google. Personally I feel Jar Jar should have been the overall Big Bad and that Plageius could have facilitated that story thru use of essence transfer. But I might be the only person who thinks so😊
It’s a really interesting theory and if nothing else it showcases how many good stories can exist in a vast universe of extended content. Anyone who reads understands why everyone has such a sour taste about the “Sequels”
I think your criticism over the story turning into Palpatine Novel, in the middle of the book, was reflected in the death of plagues... would much rather know what Darth plagues” thoughts were at the time of his death, as opposed to listening to Palpatine ramble on about how he orchestrated everything. James Luceno’s strength in his storytelling is also his weakness. He makes a concerted effort to reference things in his novels shows has incredible knowledge of the Star Wars universe in making all his references…. However, it sometimes gets in the way of the actual storytelling and in this case he moved away from Darth. Plagues’ inner character perceptions…and made him naieve in trusting Palpatine to agree to the vision of them as co-facilitators in ruling the galaxy… although, if the plan did go forth, I imagine the Jedi would have been suspicious that the two of them could be sith lords if they were co-chancellors…
i would argue this is a sidious focused book and he was always the mc. plauges was his mentor yes but the book was about how palpatine and demask made palpatines career in politics and how they engineered a plan that palpatine was always at the center of to not only reform the republic into an empire but to also eventually take over the sith order as we know he does already. plagues was just a tool of the story to be able to tell sidiouses upbringing and run in politics
You saved me! Spotify kicked me off 4 chapters before finishing. You dropped the video same day or the one before. Once I finished it I liked the voice for 11-4D so much I started it over! Thank you thank you
I'm thankful for this Plageuis finale video! Happy Turkey Day to all who are celebrating with cranberry sauce ... and to all those who are celebrating with something else ... and also those who aren't celebrating at all🍻🎶✌️
It’s a thanksgiving miracle 🎉 thank you for this great reading of this magnificent story . Your whole reading of this book has been amazing and imo way better than the audiobook . Thanks again
Thank God. I binged all the rest and thought I would have a long wait after finishing the last vid 2 days ago. I have just discovered you with this book and am now a fan. From Trinidad and Tobago 🇹🇹
I really appreciate this audiobook series the voices are really well done. Really a shame it never got animated or made into a movie before Disney took over.
You've gotten me into Star Wars audiobooks. I've listened on other channels, and your voice acting etc is simply put the best. I am, however going to be recommending a couple of books in the future. Thank you!
Glad to have you back! Ive been struggling to find good falling asleep content in the last couple weeks. If i could make a rewuest tor the future, I'd love to hear you read more Timothy Zahn novels. The original Thrawn trilogy and The Hand of Thrawn duology are some of my all-time favourite stories
It’s crazy how dooku really was the second choice from the start. I didn’t realize how far back the betrayal ran, but then again sidious would never have been content to share power
I rembrer buying and reading this book when it first came out. I read it several more times since. I loved it. However, I enjoyed it even better while listening to your audio version. Well done. I'm a new fan and subscribed.
Right I will be completely honest here. I'm going threw this book second time in a week. And I have to admit that this is absolutely awesome 😮 perfect work even better then movie. As soon I'm done with this book I check all others you got on channel. This piece of ark answered all my questions from my childhood:o about start wars. absolute shouts out to author of the book and to You guys. All voices are just perfect. I really like your Palpatine voice literally like in the movie And Counts voice also sounds like from movie revenge of sith. I listen to this at work also at home. Thank You for this and keep it going never stop. Great Work 😃😃
That's strange I'm in canada and am sure you called out my uncle and cousin in England Chris and Daniel not sure I'm right but hay stranger things right
I have been listening to your work driving to and from service calls. When the customer isn't there I'll listen with my ear buds while fixing their Internet. I'm still waiting on the 3rd Bounty Hunters book though. You have definitely provided excellent entertainment. Thank you, it makes cleaning our foster rescue kittens cages more enjoyable as well. You got a new subscriber here.
I love the politics of this book, it really expands on the Phantom Menace. The prequels get a lot of hate for their politics but it shows how genius and patient the Sith master plan was.
Yes palpatine is evil, but there is something chilling about seeing a young child and thinking yes im going to manipulate this kid into doing the most horrendous things a person can do. And extrapolate on ever fear and insecurity they have to do my bidding. Absolutely evil
Awesome channel. I am used to spend large amounts of time reading, but during my university semesters, I cannot bring myself to read for leisure. This fills the gap perfectly.
I actual make jewelry out of gold and silver while listening to these lol. Love it. Made a lightsaber recently.... omg, please dont listen to darth plagius while people are under anithesia....
I'm a bit overwhelmed by this audiobook. I think mostly due to its length being over 15 hours. I don't think I would had lasted long reading the actual book it self. I wanted to check it out since Star Wars Theory spoke highly about this book. And I was curious about who this Darth Plagueis the Wise was - who Palpatine spoke of to Anakin. I don't know. I could say I enjoyed two thirds of it but the other one third I struggled to stay focused on what was happening. Not because of your voice acting, of course, you did a great job voice acting the characters. There were times I got a bit lost with the story. Like, I couldn't tell if I was following Palpatine or his Father during their arguments. At some point, I thought Damask was an alias for Darth Plagueis. A chunk of the politics part of the story wasn't my thing. At the end I thought Palpatine's dialogue, while he had Plagueis at his mercy, was a bit over long. I can see why Palpatine came in a bit late considering the story becomes more focused on him. But I like how the story joins all the events for The Phantom Menace and sets up The Clone Wars. It is a good book but I think it's one of those I only listen through once.
Yo, so the last couple chapters move directly to episode 1? I thought that there was more time in between plagueis death and the time maul first showed himself to kenobi and qui gon. That's make me respect palpatines mood when telling anikin about plagueis the wise at the opera. He was still enjoying the novelty of killing his master
Finished this audiobook a few weeks ago. Still listening here tho because your voice work is amazing. Thank you so much for all the work you put into these!
Yes! i work in the OR as well Naven evans! we listen to audiobooks, 80’s, rock, rap, it just depends on what everyone is feelin that day! keep up the great work all around fulcrum knights!!!
The entire Plagueis series was magnificent!!! Your voice acting skills are fantastic, and I look forward to everything Fulcrum Entertainment has done, because this was very well done! Thank you!!!
Thanks so much for the readings.. I'm a big fan!! Fantastic Audio work..*Jedi Sifo-Dyas...has a weird spelling Sigh-Foe-Dee-Us Not... See- Fo-Die-is I probably would have pronounced the same if I wasn't such a Clone Wars fanatic ✌️
What an excellent book. I discovered this channel through this series of reads, at first I wasn’t a fan of the pre/post chapter chats but they have really grown on me. Listening to these as I install insulation or trim has really improved the quality of each day. Keep up the great work, we are fulcrum!
Harry, thank you! I just want to take the time and convey my deepest thanks to you, for taking the time and creating this content. I suffer from PTSD and am a recovering alcoholic, my mind constantly races, flashbacks, etc… but when it comes time to try and sleep, these readings help me more than typed words can ever express. I salute you Sir, both for your ability to produce bad ass voices (loved when you did David Hayter, MGS is one of my all time favorites… tattoo(s) soon to follow), but also for your dedication to the release of this content, which is truly humanitarian work on its own. Be well fellow Knights!
i was gonna do this narration as a patreon benefit 3 years ago, but my life was chaotic and i didnt have time. very nice to see this done by someone else. may bogan be present. cosmic hails.
Hey Harry! Just found your channel and listened to your reading of Darth Plagueis in its entirety. A very quality recording and a pleasure to listen to. Regarding the novel, I almost feel like this is two books in one, the first being from the perspective of Darth Plagueis and the second being from the perspective of Darth Sidious. I think this may be why we saw Plagueis drift so suddenly from a shadowy deep-state chessmaster to a distracted, oblivious, and entitled fat cat. It could be a tinge of unreliable narrator manifested in the way Sidious was perceiving him. Just a speculation. Overall I very much enjoyed the novel, though it does somewhat fall victim to the old EU Achilles Heel of over-explaining things that could have been left mysterious. Thank you for all your hard work. Dropped you a sub and I am very excited to explore more of your work!
Great job, I've more than enjoyed these readings! However, I must mention that your version of Sheev Palpatine sounds very much like Frank Underwood from House of Cards (and that's just perfect!)
New to the order here. Found you through your Death Trooper reading. I use your reading to entertain me during my job as a welder. Not as spectacular as the others but it's a fun job. As my job is basically shooting electricity (i.e. Sith lightning) to melt metals together, I would choose "Darth Infernous" as my Sith moniker. Workforce represent, and of course, we are all Fulcrum
I am uploading Part one of The Rise And Fall Of Darth Vader Audiobook Soon. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dy8Fa0_TDqw.htmlsi=v2pDqsqfK63I_yKG
Wow thanks for reading the series you did such an incredible job. Top 5 narrators I've listened to and I've listened to literal hundreds of books. Bravo and thanks again
Thank you for this amazinf series. Im struggling a lot with my mental health right now, and this has been one of the few things to give me some comfort and help me sleep. At the same time, i dont know where to go from here now thst its finished. Would appreciate any recommendations from the community on where to continue, I'm a huge sci fi fan in general but star wars content is my secret drug, especially anything that gives context around the prequel trilogy Thanks in advance!
I just want to say something since I have been a recent fan of the series after i looked up audiobooks after finding out about its existence. I just wanted to say that i love your portrayal of these characters especially Darth Plageuis who I agree really should have gotten more presence in later chapters of the book. And i know that this isn't a big production or anything but i think you do really good work and hope that you continue breathing life into these books even if its still just a small community of us all loving ur readings.
the trama felt by the sith is a form of power. strife trama anger greed this is what gives them power. the killing of the master not only shows the greater ability but then cloaks the apprentice now master with the full inclusion of the darkside. the killing of the on closest and only one better than them gives them the greatest power
Just finished. Such a good book! Made me want to restart all the movies chronologically. Listening while working for a major airline fixing planes. Thank you for the work you do. There is nothing out there like your dramatized podio books. You are the best! Question. In the last Jedi when ren is in the cave where sidious is living eternally. Is the other face plegus ?
so this was much better written than a lot of other star wars books i've read. and it was fun overall. but the main thing, to me, is how... i don't know, weirdly small scale it is? the fact that plagueis could control the very essence of life was. i mean, basically literally the only thing we know about him, through his brief mention in the movie. and thats such a small, totally unimportant aspect of his story here. long before this book was written, i know there was speculation that he was palpatine's master. but that always felt so lazy to me. like, out of the literal THOUSANDS of years of history, the one dude who has such a specific control of the force that would be the one thing to convince Anakin to fall to the dark side, just SO happened to also be his master?? also, the title "the wise" seems so arbitrary. nobody else even knew he was a dark lord, and he didn't do anything particularly wise either. infact. he was quite the opposite in this book. when the legend is shared about him in episode 3, it gave the impression that he was an ancient, powerful sith with a huge legacy and high regard. the title "wise" evokes old world imagery. a court wizard or clever general. not just... some... random banker who keeps falling for assassination attempts and achieves basically nothing. to me, again, this book only acts to make the star wars universe feel small. so interconnected. almost like there is no history outside of the movie timeline. still, it was a fun listen. thanks for the read!! loved the sean connery droid
The issue of the Star Wars story feeling too small and insular is one that has bothered me too. Like that bit in Episode 1 where they show a young Greedo hanging out with Anakin. It feels strange that in an entire galaxy of what must be billions upon billions of sentient creatures we always come back to the same handful of characters. I personally prefer when the stories expand and show the vast world of characters beyond the movie series.
@@FulcrumEntertainment THE LITTLE RODIAN THAT HANGS OUT WITH ANNIE IS GREEDO???? I JUST ASSUMED IT WAS SOME OTHER RANDOM RODIAN??? oh my gosh thats INSANE. the prequels in general suffer from this hugely. like, tatooine is supposed to be this absolute, middle of nowhere backwater world. yet its somehow this constant, repeated focus in these movies. annie building C3P0 for example is one that hit me as really.... weird and kind of stupid when i originally saw the movie in theaters. and i was a pre-teen. and it stood out to me then. and this problem kind of just.. never goes away. don't get me wrong, i LOVED nights of the old republic. but its insane to me how, literally THOUSANDS of years ago, the entire universe is basically the exact same. with the exact same weapons. shields. ships. droids. except everything looks a little blockier. even something as basic as like, removing shield generators and forcing ships and structures to rely on physical armor could have had a profound effect on the setting. but it was like they were unwilling to compromise the "star warsyness" of it.... anyways!! sorry for rambling, thanks again for reading these
At this point i think i'm kind of expert on audiobooks. I'm listening them for years like 3 books a week and what i can tell... i'm amazed how well made is realisation, how dedicated You are for this, how impossibly accurate voices interpretations are. I'm horse keeper by profession and leathercrafter by hobby and this book (it's my first contact with Fulcrum) is perfect companion for both activities. Thank You sir for that! Best regards from Poland
