This was such a trip to watch. You play your whole game on fast forward while I pause to micromanage everything. Our unit strategies are also very different. It was cool to watch you play.
Kashyyk land can be trivialized by sending a single Tie crawler (mauler) unit east at the beginning to hunt Han Solo. I like to deal with Jabiim space by thinking of it as a multi stage affair. Send in a sacrificial group of corvettes to swat fighters. Retreat any remaining corvettes when you’ve made a couple passes through the map. Come back with a carrier based fleet to kill the ships. Leave when your fighters are exhausted inbetween enemy waves. Return with a carrier + missile boat based fleet to cleanup. Thinking of it in terms of objectives accomplished keeps it fun and makes it easier.
Polus land is very hard for me. Those Pyn’gani warriors are vicious. I keep being forced to use Vader and Palpatine working together to tame them. Glad to see another way to handle that battle.
1:42:45 Ouch I could feel that from here! Very impressed with how fast you blew through these campaigns. I'm not sure I'll ever work out whether Maulers, artillery or Sith Lords make better anti-infantry supplements for AT-ATs. Maulers are just so squishy.
Yup, I hate rebel rockets and artillery. Even in the conquests you'll see me focus them down religiously when I find them lol. And thanks, Empire at War is possibly the game I'm best at as I only play it on the hardest difficulty hehe ^_^
@GABRIEL KASTEN and you gotta take into consideration that some of the clone troopers, stayed with the Empire, (even while they started recruiting normal humans.) So somehow being a part of the Empire made their aim worse? that chip in their head probably fried their optical receptors. :P
@GABRIEL KASTEN actually now that I think about it, they (stormtroopers) weren't even aiming down their sights in the prison on the death star.. and Luke and Solo were just taking pot shots, partially aiming, but missing cause of the recoil and not using two hands with a blaster pistol. lol, you'd think for an "elite" and better equipped force, they'd at least aim better, hahaha. ^_^
Vader is a standard force user. Uri Fenn in the Consortium is OP, auto healing and a cloaking device so you can run away that has a cool down timer 4x as fast as while it's active. lol
@@JangoBlader Even then the Death Star 2 isn't the trump card as Zann can just send IG-88 in the galactic map to destroy it. Hence why I never build it until Zann is defeated as the Rebels have to win the battle with Rogue squadron in their fleet.
During the final stage of this campaign, I actually found Moff Kalast's star destroyer above Hoth. Considering that I was attacking it with something along the lines of 8 star destroyers with shittons of escorts needless to say it didn't last long.
Yup. Autoresolving is usually hit or miss a lot of the times and really only worth doing if it's just the enemy station, else you're most likely going to lose something lol
did you do this on hard difficulty? I played on medium as a kid, and I do not remember the Rebels spamming that many artillery units.. (that was so insane, thank god for AT-AT huh.)) ^_^ Great Video, I'm gonna watch your Rebels campaign next, I hope you do the Zann Consortium too. ^_^
@@nocommentary402 Nice!!! I"m already halfway through you're rebels campaign.. (kinda stoked to see how you play with the OP consortium units. their expensive as hell, but powerful.) ^_^
@@AragonBattleBorn Yeah Zann wasn't hard hehe. Though they are my preferred style, yeah expensive units but units that don't easily die when used correctly.
@@nocommentary402 right!!! my favorite land units for the Zann is Droidaka's, Canderous Battle Tank, and the Transporter, (dropping a bunch of mercs with Disruptor Blaster's in an enemy base is awesome.) Although the Space ships are cool, I love taking the invisible ones (about 3 of them.) that have no shields, and like 4 mass drivers on each one. and sneaking them behind their station. and the Crusader's are so OP if you position them right, bombers and missile frigates are useless. I actually use a mod to bring the Executor Super Star Destroyer in the skirmish mode... I would definitely like to see you play a Empire hard mode GC, on FOC... I have never beaten one before. (campaigns have spoiled me.) hahaha. But great job on this I really love your videos!!! I hope you keep it up man!! ^_^ EDIT: I just checked and damn you already got those videos out? I'm gonna be busy for a while hahaha. ^_^
@@AragonBattleBorn The best thing about those invisible ships - you can self-destruct them, if they became crippled, doing the massive damage to surrounding enemy ships in the process. With Empire or Rebellion ships you can get stuck with half of your ships being badly damaged, almost without any weapons left, but if enemy won't finish them - they will continue to occupy your population limit. Also, the voice overs for the Zann Consortium are the best - "So many targets, so little time" 👍
My dad got me my first and only laptop and this was the first game he got me this and KOTOR then my brothers Destroyed my computer within the year by watching B********** p#rn.
