Today The Phantom Menace turns 25 years old. I remember the hype well, and went to the midnight screening. Thanks George Lucas for continuing on the Saga which has led to so much more Star Wars content.
I remember being so excited about Star Wars being back on the big screen. Admittedly, I forgot to take my OT glasses off when watching these releases, because by the late 90s, the OT movies of my childhood had become like fine wine over time ...legend status! So when TPM was released, the yardstick was already too overwhelming for these new releases. And then came the sequels 😵 and suddenly the prequels were looking a hell of a lot better!! I still have my 12" Qui Gon and Maul in my collection (secretly thinking I was sitting on a potential goldmine) 🤣🤣 I must watch the clone wars one of these days 😬🤦🏽♂️...hence why I didn't dare enter Stu's quiz 🤣
