Oh I remember like it was yesterday, I was 8 years old in 2005, playing at the park, mom yells out my name that we’re gonna see star wars. So nostalgic. wow this brings me back
No way! I was also 8 in 2005. I became Star Wars Fan right after Ep 2 came out. I remember watching the OG clone wars on Cartoon Network anxiously waiting for Ep 3 to come out.
Oh it was, though tbh I think the excitement was more palpable for me leading up to Episode II. There was Star Wars EVERYWHERE. I was 11 at the time. Glad I got to relive the magic in 2015 leading up to TFA.
Me to but I wasn’t alive lol I was born in 2007 so I’m sad I soooo wanna watch it in theaters I think you can rent the theater tho so I might just do that with my friends and family
@@Simply.everything.skywalker I was born in 2007 I wish I was alive for all the old movies during this time and the 80s and 90s as well. Movies back then we’re better
God this was such a fun day. I was 10 years old, and my old costume was too small to wear and my mom wasn't able to pull off Leia buns, but we made a big ass Star Wars cake and shared it with people in line around us. Seeing people come out after their viewing and moving closer to the theater was such a thrill. I miss waiting outside theaters and how fun that used to be. Glad I got to experience it a few times.
@@Ejaz100 nothing will ever come close to TPM's hype. The various marvel flicks are hyped by fans and online but in general they're easy to ignore. Nobody anywhere could ignore TPM in 1999. It was absolutely everywhere, all the time
I was 8 when this came out, I remember the battle of the heroes started hurting my head in the theater When my parents asked me how it was I said "it was so cool it gave me a headache" lol
Henry14arsenal2007 2 things. 1) It was taped on VHS because DVR wasn’t really a thing 2) the channels are from small town America and weren’t as advanced as others at the time period.
@@unsavedprogress1419 Im referring more to the camera quality and the reporters, but yeah it was some of the last of the years before the super sleek current era.
I saw it when I was 6. And I wasn't scared of it at all, this was my first PG-13 movie. Jurassic Park III was my second. Needless to say, it was a big moment for a 6 year old
People are talking about being too young or not being born when it came out but my earlist memory I can remmeber is looking at a rots cereal box when I was 3
I was 4 and a half years old at the time. My parents grudgingly decided to bring me to my first theater experience by taking me to the cinema to watch revenge of the sith, as a way to introduce me to the franchise and it was pure magic, seeing so many fans United in enthusiasm in the theater lobby in summer 2005. It had captured my attention so fast and I’ve been a Star Wars fan ever since. The showing I was in had a few people with lightsaber toys, it was an experience I will never forget.
@@NebulasecuraI also saw it in theatres when I was 4, unfortunately the only memories I have are very vivid ones of watching the mustafar duel for the first time
Lol I would love to do that I was born in 2007 so never gotta experience that also I am a newer fan I binge watched everything through Disney + and never gotta see a single movie in theaters I did watch The Last Jedi a long time ago when I was little but not that little anyways I watched it first remind me not to do that lol I was sooo confused 😂
So this is what a franchise that is alive looks like. We’re so divided and polarized now. A lot are cynical and most aren’t even keeping up with it. I still love this franchise though, I don’t care what people say.
"I have work tomorrow. Start the movie." I remember buying buckets of popcorn and soft drinks for a "cousin-in-law". The audience cheered when Yoda defeated two Storm Troopers who were in cahoots with Palpatine.
That's... not true. Do you remember opening night for TFA?? www.thestar.com/entertainment/2015/12/18/star-wars-the-force-awakens-earns-record-57m-on-opening-night.html
I felt bad for people standing in line for Episode I because they couldn't have known it was going to be absolute shit. I even felt a little bad for people waiting for Episode II, because they couldn't be blamed for thinking Lucas may have learned from the first movie and made improvements. I have no sympathy for people waiting for Episode III. You knew it was going to be garbage and you wasted precious time in your life.
@@Ramon-ez6cd, "Hurr u probly hurr durr." If you have any substantive defense of the prequels and their wooden acting, mechanical writing, and garish, bloated special effects then present it.
People don't dress up as their favorite prequel characters because they don't have any. They dress up as luke or darth vader because they really liked that one.
