Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith Game Menu Music Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones Official Soundtrack Track 13 - Return to Tatooine
This music has stuck with me ever since I bought revenge of the sith the game years ago, damn I need to play that game again, the prequel trilogy is easily my favorite out of all of them
What is it about music like this that makes me feel sad, peaceful, happy and powerful at the same time. Even without context provided from the film, you can feel all of that.
Yeah, this theme makes me think of like - the ancient sith who fed off of heartbreak and betrayal. The walking tragedies spawned by the mandalorian wars.. just as the clone wars made Vader.
Anakin's inner turmoil. "Your mother's dead son....accept it". Anakin still senses she's alive so he shakes his head in denial and goes out to look for his mother - we know what happens after she dies in his arms.... It was conducted for Attack of the Clones (Return to Tatooine)
@L3giTxSniPE It’s not like that’s an unpopular opinion. Most self respecting film critics consider the prequels dog shit. Doesn’t mean they can’t be enjoyable, and at least the world they set up is put to better use in prequel era material like The Clone Wars 2003 and 2008 tv series.
This game had such a great soundtrack, a mix between the movies' music and Knights of the Old Republic II tracks that I still remember fondly to this day.
I'm pretty sure this game only used the movie soundtracks, so that's a compliment to the movies rather than anything else, maybe the duelling music for the training room was unique but that's literally one track, and even then I'm not sure if that's a unique track or not, I've played through the game multiple times and pretty much every track can be found from all the Star Wars movies except Episode 3.
@@OneBoredCatbugthere is a bunch of music composed for Kotor 2 in game as well. Used in the jedi temple levels a lot if I remember correctly. Fight with Cin Drallig used the Mandalorian battle music
After watching Episodes 2 and 3 and playing the game, I realized this theme is about Anakin Skywalker's tragic fall to the dark side and the birth of Darth Vader. This is now one of the star wars themes I listen to almost every day.
Ever since I bought this game, this music has been embedded in my head. And I begin to notice it in the films such as when Anakin returns to tatooine and meets the Lars family in Episode 2 Attack of the Clone. Or in Episode 3 Revenge of the Sith when Obi-Wan views the security holograms with Master Yoda in the Jedi temple. But now I discovered it in Episode 9 The Rise of Skywalker when Poe is talking to Zorii about sending the distress single back in Crait and no one responding to their plea of help. I was surprised that J.J. Abrams wanted to reuse this track in the film, it's prequel music and it was used in the sequel.
Yeesh. It might be a little premature since I'm only 558 views away from 10,000 but thank you all! 1 day on a nostalgia trip (we've all been there), I tried finding a video like this back then. Since no one uploaded a looped version, I thought I'd do all you fellas (who were like me) a favour. So here you go. Enjoy! Maybe 1 day, we'll get the 10 hour version we deserve... Edit: 100K people! Happy 2024!
at the time of hearing this when playing on the video game and hearing it over and over on the main menu seeing clips of the actors a brief shot of darth vader, I had no idea nor did I foresee just how very very dark Episode 3 was going to look like and seeing how Anakin's fall the dark side and into the suit of Darth Vader would turn out to be after so many years of hearing his backstory from the original episodes and in books until this game came out before the film showed us. Again this was such an amazing build up to this episode and seeing the final transformation Anakin would go to into becoming Darth Vader.
@@kelvynchan1998 Actually its from the Episode 2 soundtrack. The track is called Return to Tatooine and it was used in that film before Anakin leaves to find his mother.
I feel so much pain when I listen to this song, because I know that no matter what palpatine has already gotten through to Anakin and the plot to destroy the Jedi is already in motion and there’s no stopping anything now.
I wasn't a fan of this game when I was a kid but now I have started to realize how good it actually was. I'd definitely play it through if I only had a working PS2.
A 10 minute loop of this is really nice, I could honestly sleep to this track, it is one of the more interesting Star Wars tracks, I know it's just a variant of Across The Stars but it just has more to it than the rest, it's soothing, ominous, mysterious, enigmatic, all kinds of things could describe this track to be honest, I'm glad to see a longer version of it.
Bro thank you so much for this dude omg im crying cos i really really really want to go back to 2012 or something and enjoy that good old star wars nostalgia that has recently died😢😭. This music makes my whole childhood and all starwars related moments flash before my eyes as i cry. Im so thankfull for you bro for uploading this. 😭💪🏼❤
This theme can be heard 2 times in The Rise of Skywalker: In the conversation between Poe and Zorii and in the final act when the emperor "drains" the force in Ben and Rey
Supposedly not having their hands on the official EP3 soundtrack, the game devs really picked the right tracks. This was perfect for the menu, eerie and haunting; just as Revenge of the Sith should be.
I remember just beating a level in force unleashed and this music would play looking over my “performance and objectives”I completed. I would leave this music theme playing for a few mins before continuing cus I just loved listening to it😌
Honestly, given the success and feedback within this year, I think I'm gonna have to try. Possibly a 1 hour and a 10 hour version. However when I do it, would you rather 1 image throughout the entire video, or multiple images like in this video?
What two songs is this made up of? I know that the majority is from the middle of "Return to Tatooine" (when Cliegg Lars is telling Anakin about his mother's presumed fate), but, the part at 0:54 is spliced from somewhere else. Any idea where? I was wanting to splice them together myself from the Star Wars sountrack CD's, but haven't been able to find that bit. Any ideas?
I only used Return to Tatooine. That part was really me mixing the end and start of the excerpt used for the games menu. For clarification, (I'll use this link of Return to Tatooine bit.ly/2VgotSE for example), I tried fading 2:33 into 1:17. You really have to find the right mix so you don't end up with that higher note at the end of 2:33.
When I heard this in Rise of Skywalker I thought there was going to be some call-backs to Revenge of the Sith, I wasn't disappointed. I personally really liked the movie.
Not to be rude but can peopole shut up about TROS? Ok you don't have to ask after about 30 top comments have already been made about it, and it's obviously in the shit movie so stop commenting asking if its just you who heard it. Why should i have to be reminded of that destruction of Star wars comiung to a ROTS game lol. This is not from TROS but from AOTC and the game.
The Rise of Skywalker? More like The Fall of Skywalker. I just want to forget that movie and The Last Fucking Jedi even exist at all, but not even the OG soundtracks are safe
Oh boy, I wish. But where I live, it'd take over a damn day to get that uploaded. If I could do it, I would. Alternatively, get this URL and put it on RU-vid repeat.
Thinking about it its very similar to the Assassin's Creed Unity pause menu themes. They are amazing, dark themed soundtracks just like the whole French revolution era. They are worth checking out ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cRzyx8CqJuM.html
Man **** Rise of Skywalker. And **** Disney Star Wars. This was peak John Williams from Episode II Attack of the Clones. And was used beautifully as the menu music of Star Wars Episode III Revenge of the Sith. Nothing else!
Yes! It plays in the scene where Zorii and Poe observe the First Order kidnapping children (you know, the part where she says she's got accustomed to hearing kids screaming for that reason).
