A star wars empire tribute with Sabaton wehrmacht 2.0 , I recently saw my previous video and thought I could do better. Personally, I do think it's better. Disclaimer : all content belongs to their respective owners. No copyright.
Indeed. On both occasions, this line was perfect. First we see Vader, then Seventh Sister and Fifth Brother, all of them were Jedi who lost their way after Order 66 and fell to the dark side. Perfection.
Just think how influential the one decision was for the Empire to go with Tarkin's doctrine (fear foremost and form over function) rather than Thrawn's (Art of war, split the enemy, attack weak points, efficiently organize your own forces, actually utilize the Empire's industrial might). If the Empire chose Thrawn's doctrine even in such a minor decision as replacing TIE fighters with TIE defenders, the war would have been won for the Empire
And look at how the Empire would've been viewed as well. Thrawn didn't want to totally eradicate civilizations or their culture. He knew of the greater external threat and wanted a unified galaxy.
Problem was Thrawn came along too late. By the time Thrawn was in a position to influence things, Tarkin’s philosophy was already deeply entrenched in the Empire.
If thrawn was still around after the first Death Star was destroyed and tarkin was dead thrawn would probably have grater influence in the policy of the empire and its military doctrine.
“Or young men who lost their way?”. On both occasions, this line was perfect. First we see Vader, then Seventh Sister and Fifth Brother, all of them were Jedi who lost their way after Order 66 and fell to the dark side. Perfection.
When we look at history or fiction, it's easy to fall into the trap of labeling everyone who fought for the wrong side as the bad guys. But it is never that simple. Just like the Wehrmact, the Empire consisted primarily of human beings who thought they were doing the right thing. Excellent video.
@@shaunakmitra963 well, the rise of Hitler's dictatorship was comparatively quite (maybe a bit louder than Star Wars' Empire) but don't think nobody opposed him, Hitler somehow survived a lot of assassination attempts
I love how the really heavy and punchy sounding beats in the chorus line up most of the time with the movement of either large bodies of troops, AT-ATs, or other heavy machinery.
The Emperor could predict the future. Therefore, he was preparing the galaxy for the arrival of the great evil. Yuuzhan Vong were what the emperor predicted. And that's why he wanted to unite the galaxy under one flag, government and army
Yeah, I believe imperialials under palpatine would decimate the worlds that yuuzhang vong worlds would take and use for recourses early in the war. Which would most likely stop the invasion or make the area that they conquered in legends way smaller. Which would trillions of people not dying and corosant not being terraformed. Also Imperial military would fit way better against yuuzhang vong than new republic's one
@@Nothing-1w3 Not likely, the Empire under Palpatine was a barely functional, self-destructive mess. A perfect example of the trope "Fascist, but Inefficient". Han was right when he rebuked an Imperial officer who tried to make that claim in the EU; Palpatine would create a stupidly inefficient superweapon and try to scare them into submission, depriving the fleet of valuable resources and manpower and leaving it underfunded and ill-equipped for a full-scale war.
Best picts came frome Rouge One, the only Star Wars Movie with figthing Empirial Forces. Please Disney, show mercy and give us more stuff like Rouge One. Maybe with Star Destroyers with firing main Turbo Laser batteries.
A suggestion that you don't have to follow because I feel like this is channel is more for fun than anything else is Counterstrike plus the clone army and using the new footage from the new Clone Wars trailer where we see the massive fleet in the sky when the song goes "one nation standing stronger than before." As I said, your call and your time, and I'll be fine not seeing it. After all, this was a great video.
The Imperial military unlike the First Order is more like the Wehrmacht as they are nowhere near as fanatical similar to the Wehrmacht and the Waffen SS who were very different from an ideological standpoint.
Pulled into war to serve a vision that’s supposed to last a thousand years Part of a machine unstoppable, as merciless as tidal waves Were they the victims of the time, or proud parts of larger goals? Propaganda of the Empire, masterful machine Time and again the battle rages on beyond the gates of misery As casualties rise and millions die around them did they see it all? Crazy madmen on a leash, or young men who lost their way? Grand illusions of the Empire may seem real at times AT-AT's on a line form the Imperial Military’s spine Lethal grand design What about the men executing orders? Ad victoriam Ex machina Non sibi sed patriae Pulled into war to serve a vision that just didn’t last a thousand years Part of a machine, though stoppable, as merciless as tidal waves
