Star Wars Galaxy's Edge: Count Dooku Legacy Lightsaber Review 

Ever since I saw the Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Yoda vs Count Dooku lightsaber duel scene in Attack of the Clones when I was a kid, Count Dooku's lightsaber had become one of my favorites. This will be one of the first lightsabers I'm going to get along with the Cal Kestis lightsaber.

Twice the pride, double the fall...

I love Count Dooku’s saber but I’m disappointed in the size and how they didn’t use the trigger as an ignition switch.

Fun little observation. The hilt is designed to be used for either one handed or two handed grip styles. It's that little curve it has. It turns it into a one handed hilt but depending on the situation it can be briefly turned into a two handed grip hilt by simply grabbing the curved part. I'm rewatching clone wars and it's amazing how detailed Dookus fighting style is. It's to the point where you can honestly tell whether he's taking a fight seriously or not.

They still can't get the ignition switch right, the trigger is right there they should just make it accurate

I really hope to see them also add; -Yoda’s - Savage Opress’s - Obi-Wan’s ROTS - Sideous’s - Kit Fisto’s - Leia’s - Rey’s TROS - Ezra’s First - Lord Corvax’s - Anakin’s ATOC - Qui-Gon’s - Ezra’s Second And - Kanan Jarrus’s Oh, and the Dark Saber too.

I always wondered why they didn’t have dooku’s but now we finally have it

I have waited a terribly long 437 years for this saber to finally come out. Now just another yeae to actually get the damn thing. Omg its so gorgeous tho! By far far faaaaar my all-time fav saber.

Just like the hasbros version, I don’t like how thick it is. It’s basically a carbon copy.

I love the thickness of the hilt! I knew the Dooku hilt was slimmer but for some reason the thicker look on it looks better in my personal opinion. Just ordered one and am very excited for it’s arrival!

When you review the ahsoka ones could you do that thing where you show a video of them illuminated in the dark for both the blue and green variants?

Sooo jealous you have this set. I was at Disney World 2 weeks before they released these. Got a Savi custom saber, such a fun experience!

One pro of owning this officially licensed legacy version is that it'll hold it's value. Custom sabers, while better in most every way, don't as much. Thoughts?

The curve of the hilt just looks so clean

This is good! Tyranus' lightsaber is one of my favorite lightsaber. Every material, including chromed parts, red trigger, rubberized grip are great. Only the proportion bothers me. This hilt is too thick to attach blades. If it was thinner like original prop, I would have bought it.

I have this hilt and I’ve enjoyed it. I personally don’t mind the size. I always enjoy Sir James videos with the legacy lightsabers

I bought this, and i modified it, it is now full neopixel with bluetooth, it fits in there fine. Just don't break the bottom fin off, you need the integrity it provides.

So for someone stuck in a different state and wants a Savi's edge saber and is willing to pay for it are there any suggestions other that EBAY?

This is a lightsaber that I really want in my collection next to Qui gon's lightsaber.

I think because they insist to have a blade that fits all of the hilts. so some of the sabers like the graflex style ones are more accurate because they are thicker then more advanced styles like mace, dooku and Luke

You don’t have to hit it hard, if you kinda jerk the hilt it’ll activate it, like when you do for a clash it’ll jerk the hilt to a stop, if that kinda makes sense

How did Dooku get his lightsaber to be curved? Its not one of those things that just say "hey how about a curved saber", he probably steps on it by accident.

Really want this saber to complement my Darth Sidious Galaxy's Edge saber as my collection. I don't have room for any more and I like how the Disney ones are reasonably priced! I screwed up and didn't order it from Disney when it was on sale. Hope they get it back in stock.

I got my legacy lightsabers of Count Dooku from a Comic and Collectible event in Aguadilla Mall.

What if they made a legacy section when building your own lightsaber that had different pieces of other characters lightsabers that you can use in your build

When I go next year, I’ll definitely be getting a count dooku and maybe the temple guard legacy saber.

Which legacy lightsaber would u get🤔 luke skywalkers, Ben solos, Ashoka tano, or count dooku?

My question is if there is a new blade for Ahsoka's shoto, since the smallest one they have is 26in or 28 in. Which is too long for the shoto, the blade for the shoto at most I believe is 20in, but I could be wrong.

The chrome looks cool but I probably won’t get it because of how easy it gets marks on it

It could be that the original prop was that thick.

9:11 this is the original model used in the film, Christopher Lee was a tall man, Almost 2 meters tall which means he has big hands, the blade is on scale, but your hands are just smaller

SaberForge has the best best dooku design IMO. and I agree with you on your opinion. that saber is too bulky and not nible like the sabers in the movie and cartoon.

So damn shiny. Lightsaber are so damn cool, but I think like Dark Rey's duel lightsaber and Kylo Ren's crossguard lightsaber the most, though Dooku's sure is awesome

Legacy hilts are nice but they are oversized and heavy. At $100+ its a good deal.

Something that they could’ve done with no trouble but they somehow messed it up is both the ignition switch isn’t even the real switch and that it’s black instead of red but it’s still a good saber.

Do you think these will be listed on Disney’s online store? Because I’ve just noticed some galaxys edge sabers are becoming available online now.

looks pretty big and chunky for something that is largly a one handed dueling saber.

You should turn the saber without any light, it will look much better.
