IMoonling I thought it was okay, I didn't understand some of the characters but it wasn't as horrible as The Last Jedi Which, somehow was worse then a movie that came before it, Actually just go back to the PT and OT, you can see how *even Attack of the clones* is better than TLJ

Anthony actually there was supposed to be a vader lightsaber in revenge of the sith at the end where he finds out padmé is dead, but they never ended up using it, although several toys actually use that unused design
I always thought it was cool how Darth Vader’s saber resembles anakin’s in some aspects like the grips at the end, and how the emitter is basically the same piece just a different color and same with the start up button
Thanks for the videos but can you please show us the motion sound tests? In several of the saber reviews especially this one you test the motion while you show us a video of you in the dark swinging your saber. We would like to see real time video with the sound so we can see the delay for ourselves. Other than that thanks for all you do. Your videos are great.
I've always hated switch boxes because they instantly make the saber harder to grip comfortably ,but the longer sleeves on this one make it my only exception
Honestly, it sounds like the sound fonts themselves are the same per color. Red kyber in savi's is the same as Vader, is the same as Maul, is the same as Ventress. The only difference is in the acoustics of the hilt and how well it amplifies the sound. Given the blade still has to be signaled via RFID, I'm betting the chip that's inside the kyber crystal are just permanently installed in the internals of the legacy hilts.
The B and the S are the port labels from the original camera flash. They covered most of the markings with silver auto tape, but those, they couldn't do a full loop comfortably, so they left them.

The Darth Vader and Luke ROTJ are by far my favourite looking sabers. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to have one though because I live nowhere near Disneyland. :(
Yeah a certainly agree with you. I really hate that honestly though because now I kinda don’t want to get Vader’s saber. In terms of the humming I think Vader’s saber’s hum sounds better. But the swinging sound effects and the clashing sounds I just really don’t like. Especially for Rey’s saber (TESB/TFA/TLJ hilt). The swinging on that saber is too low in pitch and the humming is sort of in a wave we’re it’ll be really loud then it’ll be almost quiet. I wish it was likes Luke’s saber were the humming is steady and isn’t a wave
Dig up this video to rewatch. Disney now sells a bundle pack of either Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker or Mace Windu's lightsaber. Comes with the lightsaber, 31" blade, display stand and belt clip. The only downfall is that the storage box is now made out of cardboard. Picked up Vader's over the weekend and was disappointed that it did not have the plastic box. The employee's didn't even know how it was packaged when I inquired before purchasing. Either way, the lightsaber is super cool.
Great review Sir James! I really enjoy your reviews. These lightsabers look great. However, the screen accuracy of this lightsaber is off. This lightsaber looks to be a combination of both Ep4 and Ep5. The Ep4 saber did have the tightening clamp on the switch box and no wires toward the top of the saber and the black grips did not extend to the activation box. The Ep5 saber had the extended grips, the exposed wires, but do tightening clamp on the switch box. Also, his saber never had rivets on the grips. Great saber, just a little knit pick.

instead of showing them all upside down what you should have done is use the Darth Vader blade turn it on twice upside down so we can hear itflip it over so we can see how the blade activates with the sound because I have heard that some of the lightsabers have a slower startup time with the light touching the end of the blade if that made sense
This is just a bit of constructive criticism. I love your reviews and always watch them, but I feel like this was not your BEST one, and there were a few things off about it. I feel that maybe when testing out the motion capture, show us the footage of you swinging live in your studio rather than a pre recorded video of the lightsaber, so that we can actually see WHEN you were swinging it and when the sound did or didn't capture. By inserting a video of you testing the lightsaber elsewhere we can't really see. Also you would normally do the light up test of the saber in your studio before moving to the sound which you didn't do today, but maybe you just forgot or have a new style of doing it. Anyways don't take this the wrong way those were just a few points I noticed and wasn't too sure about

Hello there Sir James, first of all I want to say that I really enjoy your videos. Second, I’m planing to go to Galaxy’s Edge soon and I’m really looking for a Darth Vader lightsaber but I’ve heard that some legacy lightsabers have an issue with the humming in which you can easily detect when the loop ends and starts again. Does the Darth Vader lightsaber has this issue? Dose Savi’s lightsabers also have it? And finally. Do you have any inside info about the fact that some Savi’s lightsabers won’t line up correctly? Have you heard if Disney is addressing this issues soon? Thanks.
I built the same Savi blade you have but I have the 2 sleeves you have reversed. The rubber gives a better grip and with the extra weight being towards the emitter It seems easier to twirl. I also like the look better.
You should do a turn on side by side with the Vader and sauvie's workshop because it's kind of hard to notice a difference when you're just turning them on and off separately

so what do the letters actually mean lol and have we figured out which film this hilt is from? Since the FX hilts didn't have the wiring, some have deciphered the Legacy hilt to be from ESB
Please show the blade plug and the emitter section in your reviews. Nobody goes over those in their reviews and I would like to see how nice they look when they don’t have a blade in.
Doubt you’ll answer, but I recently got this exact lightsaber at galaxies edge and unfortunately I’m leaving tomorrow morning. When I tried to put in my lightsaber blade and twist it, for some reason it didn’t stay like it’s supposed to. This wasn’t just the case for the blade it came with but for another blade from a different lightsaber I also bought. I looked inside the socket and it looked like the rectangular peg isn’t aligned properly with the blade so it doesn’t attach. I can’t go back into the park and ask for a replacement and I’m thinking about contacting customer service and see if I can ship this to them and they ship me another, but I wanted to see if this was a common problem with and easy fix first. Hope you can help, but if you can’t no problem. Thanks
I just got this, freaking awesome. Question though, there sounds like there’s a metal ball rolling around inside the upper part of the hilt. Any ideas? Thought I could shake it out lol, no luck. Is that normal? If not can I take it apart without harming it?
Love you videos. Can you tell me what movie is this Darth Vader lightsaber is based on? It has to be Rogue One right? The other movie sabers don’t match up to this one at all.
How does the company making the films not have it match the in film hilt. The fins on the bottom are typically depicted having a decent gap between them and the black band in the middle
I think anyone who has any kind of criticism as to what Sir Jim should be doing differently for reviewing, can eat tauntaun poop. Sir Jim always does an amazing service to us as Star Wars fans by even showing us his gear. We are lucky he has the hauls he has from Galaxy's Egde, and we are lucky he decided to even make videos about them for us. He doesn't have to make them, and doesn't have to go through the tremendous amounts of efforts he does to make sure these videos are all edited perfectly. I don't believe disney gave him all this merch for free, so it's not like he is obligated to review any item to the incredibly high standards that you youtube users demand and expect from him. Expectations are not standards. And he reviewed things to standard. Anything else is an expectation. Don't try to fix what isn't broken. Enjoy it for what it is. Beggars can't be choosers.
