In todays episode we create a star wars inspired door as part of our larger room build project. We use items found in the everyday and make them into a project out of this world.
ok ok . . . wait just one minute . . . that two piece shower trap trick just blew my brain right out of my skull!!!!! Headed to the hardware store right now!! Great stuff man, love the door!
I’m thinking the new bathroom is going to be the most popular room in your home. For a while at least. If the rest of the room build is this awesome, then it’s going to be a thing to behold. Great, GREAT job on this. So many ideas to integrate into projects I want to build*. *just need money, time, supplies, tools, and...oh yeah...a house to build in. Looking forward to future episodes.
That was definitely awesome. Working on plans for my spacecraft design. Like the drafting sheets you use with the lighting. Gives a nice glow. And the small hallway to the door is nice too. Need to find plans for an easy to make door opener. Kudos...
Mate I'm building a massive Home Theatre on RU-vid at the moment. And you've just given me a really cool idea for its main entrance. Thanks heaps bud it looks fantastic 👍
Since the top of the structure was open I was able to fish the wire between the two and out to a junction box.. I left it out because I don’t want to give electrical advice due to different codes in different areas..
Thanks so much Tony, I previously worked for the faucet company Moen as an engineer and those are a few of our hands free motion controlled modules that were no longer viable..
Great Job!! I love the symmetry of the greeblies on the left. Doubled up like a Yin-Yang. Cool. And the lights very cool. How does the draft paper hold up though? Did you hot glue that down?
Thanks so much! The draft Mylar is more similar to plastic it can’t be ripped or torn without some real effort.. it is stapled in the vertical areas and free floating in the upper area incase I need access for any reason..
@@TheRebelsRefuge Oh ok I'll have to remember to try that Mylar next time. I used the plastic from a poster frame on my Death Star lights. Then sprayed them with a frost paint to make them opaque. Keep building!
Very nice looking door there bud! Color matching is nice also! Cant wait to see what else you do. I started drawing up some things to finish my door up but am having a hard time with hiding my crimes or even which way to go with the rest of the archway look. For me its Not as easy as you make it seem! :)
Awesome build. Do you remember where you got the ceiling grids? Trying to locate something like that myself. Seems like it would work great for an unfinished SW inspired basement.
