“Grogu bag” on the scout trooper is the Saboteur mini. He’s always had a satchel for his bombs. Been that was on the sculpt well before Mando ever aired on DisneyPlus
What company changes a product they sell in its entirety and not release one new product with updated rules or ways to get players interested and buying their game… AMG is self sabotaging this game.
Hate the new cards. I. Always wanted to go to a tournament for some special cards but if they look like these no thanks. Cautious but the new rules sound pretty good. All the refreshes are exciting! Over all happy to see a well thought out (I hope) future for the next few years.
Gunlines are more powerful than before. Its the reason snipers went up. Most of the deployment is battle lines now, so r4 is available right after your first move.
@Wargamerofalltrades Movement is more important for sure, as a lot of the stuff with speed 3 went up a bit too. But being able to shoot round 1 is very strong.
I agree with you on this i think that game will be overall more fun and the stuff to come looks awesome. I also agree that the design choice on some of the items is lacking.
I also agree about upgrade card size. Im hoping if we make enough noise they will keep the small card size. I loved having all my upgrades in a tiny binder.
Good summary video. One thing I will note is that they did say at the start of their big announcement panel is that this is part 1 of a 2 part refresh of the game. Part 2 is going to come with more unit changes and is not due until Q2 of 2025, this is why the card packs aren't due out until this time next year. Because they want to have every together as opposed to doing 'card pack release 1' etc. Part of me just wants part 1 of the card pack now but given we have upgrade card packs 1 and 2 and it's often impossible to get one of them because your waiting for reprints, I can see why they wanted to wait.
For the Rebels core unit they said that there would be lots of head options, and the heads were all interchangeable. I think they said there would be at least 4 heads for each species
I find the original missions and deployment were good in the the fact they offered variety with how you could combine them as well as only having to worry about one singular objective. I don’t see why they couldn’t have just made a new system with the original battle cards, rather than changing what existed (as all the existing modes were good!). Several of the new modes seem to be area control (which is reflected with many of the keyword changes now being move centric).
